Brighton has long been known for its laidback liberality, and Kemptown is the heart of the city’s ‘cool’ vibe. Kemptown has a spectacular seafront, and independent shops, pubs, bars and cafes are dotted around the entire area. It is a place to chill, and a place where entertainment is on every corner, with some of the city’s best restaurants and nightlife spots. It likes to think of itself as a mini London by the sea, and deservedly so – there is never a dull moment and you can spend a long time exploring the area and still find new, fabulous things. Time Out London named Kemptown one of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods in 2021. Most places in Brighton are within walking distance, if you have the time.. Alternatively there is a great bus network, taxi's are easy to come by - try Streamline Taxi's. You can also hire bikes by the hour - you can download an app called 'Social Bricyles' which will let you know where your nearest bike is and get you set up.
