Lovely period cottage, nicely decorated and the kind of holiday home I love staying in. Beds were really comfy, great bathroom and nicely decorated. Well placed close to the main area. The staff at the Dragon inn were exceptionally helpful and handy to be able to park there.

A beautiful grade 2 listed building with stunning features. Not only is the house close to the River Usk and surrounded by beautiful walks it's also just a stones throw from numerous great pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and local shops. Ideal location for walking, cycling, mountain climbing. A very homely property centrally located to Crickhowell High street, awarded Best High Street in Britain! Many of the cafes line the quaint high street, perfect for a having a coffee while admiring the views. 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with small separate toilet. Downstairs there is a cosy lounge, dining room and kitchen.
Guests will have full private and exclusive use of the house, however someone will be on hand to give tips and advice if needed, we are more than happy to help with restaurant and activity recommendations
We are honoured to have been the overall winner of the Great British High Street Awards in 2018 and have a collection of independent shops which offer everything you need for everyday shopping and for something special, too. It's so refreshing to go into shops and be met with a friendly smile and assistance, if necessary, like Cashells the Butchers who will advise on different cuts of meat and tempt you with tastings of new cheeses (yummy!) and Grenfells & Sons Grocers who will deliver shopping if you need it. Our award-winning High Street has everything from family-owned department store Webbs, Richards, the butchers, Natural Weigh, Wales’ first zero waste shop and the Welsh independent bookshop of the year, Book-ish. That's just a few choice shops from Crickhowell high street, don't forget their are many other places waiting to be explored in the surrounding towns and villages, plus countless walks, village shops and pubs.
