Dartmoor Reach Alpaca Farm is owned and run by Josh and Natalie Hyson with a little help from Romy (10) and Cerys (9), our beautiful daughters. We moved here in 2015, started farming Alpacas in 2019 and opened for ‘glamping’ in 2021. The Big red bus arrived in 2022. We are a very laid back family. We enjoy growing our own meat and veg , collecting our own eggs , the countryside, camp fires and a drink down the pub. Natalie is a fully qualified yoga instructor with an on site studio.

Guests tell us that Dartmoor Reach is more than just Glamping . A Red Double decker situated in the corner of our field. The bus has all you will need on board. A fridge freezer , gas hob , plates cups , cuttlery , glasses, pots and pans and all linen provided. Two King size beds and 4 single beds *** SINGLE BEDS ARE 5 FOOT LONG AND 2 FOOT 6 INCHES WIDE*** set out as galley style bunk beds. A breakfast bar and lounge seating provides ample space to relax. The field is also home to 12 alpacas , 30 hens , 20 ducks and a couple of pigs. The bus shares the field with 3 glamping huts but is situated so it is not overlooked . You have lots of privacy . The bus has its own toilet and hot shower situated in a private block 15 meters from the bus. The bus has a private garden area out front with a picnic bench and sun loungers/day beds on and there are fire pits and logs to hire/buy on site. Dartmoor Reach is a working farm so don’t be surprised to see Alpacas outside the front door, hens pecking around the field and pigs rootling around in the mud . Our local town – Bovey Tracey “ The Gateway to the Moor “ is 1.5 miles away . An amazing high street which includes a fruit and veg shop , a baker , butcher , 2 delicatessens offering a variety of fresh bread, fine wines and cheeses and other local produce, various local and charity shops , a post office, an interior design shop , a weekly visit from a fresh fish van , a Tesco Express , a Co-op, independent cafes, a heated outside swimming pool and 3 pubs. Dartmoor National Park 3 miles away.
