Over Compton Barn is situated at the end of three barns. Accommodation includes a living room with large oak windows and French doors that open onto a courtyard and small garden plus a large kitchen dining room. Upstairs are 3 cottage style bedrooms with exposed beams and Velux windows, The Master bedroom with En-suite shower and loo, second bedroom with ornate double bed, third bedroom with either 2 single Futon style beds or One Queensize Futon bed ( just let us know your preference)there is also a modern family bathroom with a brand new shower over the bath. The barn is south facing and has a gravel courtyard and small garden that gets sunshine all day and into the evening. There is a dedicated off road parking space for two cars, with an additional space close by. The barn is situated in the village of Over Compton, a delightful hamlet located just on the Dorset side of the county border with Somerset, a few miles from the towns of Yeovil to the west and Sherborne to the east. There are great walks from the village as well as many local attractions including golf, many of Dorset’s beaches are only a 30-40min drive. There is a train service from the local station that can take you anywhere between Weymouth (Olympic sailing centre) and Bristol including Bath. The famous festival town of Glastonbury is only 40 minute drive with fantastic views from the Glastonbury Tor. This is a great place to collect Spring water from either the White or Red springs gushing out of the base of the Tor. The Cosy Barn also includes the benefit of membership to a fantastic members only delicatessen that has a great selection of food and wine as well as some incredible ready meals produced by them on site. This is just a short walk from the Barn through the beautiful grounds of Compton House. Imagine Harry potter movies! Compton House was previously a butterfly farm and famously produced the silk for Princess Diana's Wedding dress. Public Houses can be found in the neighbouring

Hi, we live a short car journey away so could assist if required but essentially the barn is private for all our guests.

It is located in a quiet village just 3 miles from Sherborne. Perfect base to explore Dorset inland and near by beaches also the City of Bath and the famous town of Glastonbury. Several excellent pubs close by and wonderful countryside walks. On the drive parking for 2 vehicles with a 3rd space very close by.
