Jean and Rod have carved out a wonderful, peaceful place to stay, surrounded by the farms of Great Maplestead, near Halstead, Essex. It's super quiet, secure, spotless and luxuriously equipped throughout with modern fittings and appliances in living, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. You'll love the king-size bed with its crisp Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet while the hamper, chock full with a selection of cereals, biscuits, bread, crumpets, croissants, milk, yoghurt, butter, spreads and fresh fruit will kick start every day. Your hosts are great communicators making sure you are comfortable and always ready with helpful tips on local restaurants, shopping and attractions.

The Retreat Little Maplestead is a superbly appointed self catering facility, comprising of Field View, Garden Suite, The Barn and The Lodge. Field View is set in a quiet rural location on the Suffolk Essex Border. The property has its own private secure access, and you have the complete use of the apartment, so if you are a bit of a chef you can show off your culinary skills. The accommodation is light and airy with a warm ambience and is beautifully decorated, it has its own garden with lovely views to enjoy in the summer months. It is ideal for short breaks the business traveler (super speed Wi Fi) and local wedding venues
Ah where do we start! We just love people and over the years have met some fantastic and interesting character's from all over the world- and look forward to meeting many more- a warm welcome awaits you from Jean and Rod (Rod has a wicked sense of humour)
