A gem of a cottage in a coastal setting. With spectacular views over Rough Island and Hestan Island to the Solway Firth, this recently refurbished cottage is an oasis of tranquillity in the beautiful village of Rockcliffe. The local sandy beach is perfect for exploring rock pools and building castles.

Neighborhood info

The Solway Coast has spectacular views of the sea, the Lake District and rolling hills, and is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and bird-watchers. The Forestry Commission Woodlands, RSPB Mersehead and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Caerlaverock are nearby, as are several golf courses including Colvend and the Championship Links at Southerness. The 7Stanes mountain bike network is also nearby, in addition to quiet lanes and coastal routes for cyclists of all abilities. The cottage has recently been completely refurbished and updated, with double glazing, central heating and a wood-burning stove providing cosy accommodation throughout the year. The cottage provides accommodation for 6 people over one floor, comprising of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a family bathroom including free-standing bath and luxury shower. A further small double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with luxury shower. The light open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen has spectacular views of the sea.
