We had an amazing stay at Glentruim Homestay, the only problem is that we only booked it for two nights, wish we haded for a week. The house is lovely. They have an amazing kitchen and an absolute adorable dog! The breakfast is simple but tasty with muffin bread ( it's not sweet ). Peaceful location, we highly recommend it!

Set amid stunning natural beauty, Glentruim Lodge enjoys spectacular views over the local hills and glens. Located just 3 miles south of Newtonmore and 15 miles from Aviemore. Accessed via a private track, it is set at the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park, Britain’s largest National Park, and at the geographical heart of Scotland. A perfect base from which to explore the rugged beauty and timeless enchantment of this part of the Scottish Highlands. During your visit to Glentruim Lodge, you are likely to encounter red squirrel and deer wandering the grounds, and you will see a variety of birds of prey, as well as the more numerous Pheasants and Grouse. If you are exceptionally lucky, you may even catch sight of the elusive and highly endangered Scottish Wildcat, which only lives in this area. We have a range of accommodation available, including a large ensuite bedroom, two double bedrooms, with shared bathroom and our amazing glamping pod, which is perfect for two and comes with full bathroom and cooking facilities. All of the accommodation at Glentruim Lodge benefits from fast reliable wifi.
We are Robert and Maria, and we live here with our two children and our spaniel Furgus (who will be extremely pleased to meet you!) We look forward to welcoming you to our home. This is a very chilled and peaceful place, and we're sure you'll find your stay very relaxing. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions prior to booking.
We have many beautiful walks and cycle routes which you can access directly from the house. The river Spey is very close by, along which you can walk or fish (with a permit, obtained locally)
