Hotel in Aviemore
Set in the Cairngorms National Park, the Coylumbridge Hotel offers a wide range of activities including a dry ski slope and pool. The hotel also features 2 restaurants and 2 bars. The place was excellent only fault the toilet blocked and we were left with an UTTER STENTCH FOR 3 DAYS!!
Hotel in Aviemore
Located within the Cairngorms National Park, the Macdonald Highlands Hotel at Macdonald Aviemore Resort is part of the Macdonald Aviemore Resort which features a collection of 4-star hotels,... Breakfast was excellent, buffet style, with plenty of choice and no long queues. Coffee or tea was brought to your table. Dinner in both restaurants were of a good standard, once again, a lovely choice and of good quality. Staff were terrific, especially Jess on reception (patience of a saint) and the tall waiter from Manchester (Brandon I think). Nicest natured guy in the world.

I've been visiting the Morlich Hotel for a few years now and I have never had an issue. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The hotel it's self is bang in the middle of Aviemore and the food is great too. I look forward to my return later in the year :)

Built in the 1700s, the Rowan Tree Country Hotel now offers elegant rooms, many with views of the mountains, Cairngorm National Park or Loch Alvie. Traditional Scottish breakfasts are available. Lovely place, just off the A9 outside Aviemore. Comfortable room, and very good breakfast. We also had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent - I recommend the venison medallions!

Surrounded by woodland, Aviemore Youth Hostel is located on the boundary of the Cairngorm National Park and a short walk from Aviemore town center, offering an ideal location for outdoor activities. Great check in time, staff were friendly. Big kitchen and dining area plus a lounge. I had the room to myself. Beds super comfy, rooms gave school camp vibes. Won't be able to sit up in the bottom bunks. I had no issues charging my phone. I would say about 10 minute walk into town. Great bathrooms that were clean. Note although it is called a youth hostel, people of all ages stay here.

The Rowan Tree Country Hotel, Cairngorm Hotel, and High Range Lodge Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Aviemore.
Aviemore is unique in our experience being an urban location with lots of amenities yet surrounded by mountains. Normally we would opt for a more rural location but for this particular holiday Aviemore suited us very well
Glorious scenery is the attraction, which holds for most of Scotland. There are restaurants, a Tesco, and a launderette which is only open for limited periods and not always when advertised. The steam trains run from the station, there are great walks nearby. This is May mind you, I can't advise on other seasons.
Aviemore is a small town on the edge of the Cairngorms. It does not have the character of, say, Pitlochry, but is a great base for exploring the mountains and lochs. Some good cafes, although most don't open until 9am; Cobbs Cafe does a good breakfast and opens at 7:30am. Two good sized supermarkets. A limited number of restaurants (I tried Tamanna Indian at the south end of town which I enjoyed). Numerous hiking and outdoors stores, as you might expect.
Perfect town to be a base for the Highlands. Lots to do round and about Aviemore, as well as the wider area. Great places to eat, especially "The Winking Owl". Not to mention the whisky trail.
Aviemore is the gateway to the mountain playground that is the Cairngorms National Park. I have been numerous times in both late spring and winter and no matter the conditions (which are quite changeable and can be rather extreme) it is a stunning stretch of wilderness. Aviemore itself offers a great hub to be able to explore from, with amenities and restauarants that cover all the needs you would want from a rural mountain town.
The scenery is stunning. People are nice in the neighborhood. Small shops and restaurants are around, great whisky tour around, mountains can do ski ( not too much snow this year) or hiking. Steam train was closed thou. But overall lovely and relax
The room was spacious, clean and bright. The bed comfortable and an extra duvet and pillows were at hand if needed. Tea and coffee making facilities were much appreciated as was the fridge to store some cold beverages and snacks. The hotel is well located close to and in walking distance of all the local amenities, as well as the main roads leading to and from Aviemore. This was a short stay but I would not hesitate to come back to the High Range Lodge Hotel for a longer stay.
We were in the lodges this time and decor is very very tired. Big, clean lodge but just needs modernised (thread bare carpets isn’t appropriate for a £300 per night rate)!! Now been to Highlands & Aviemore hotels and still enjoy Aviemore as a location. Glad the swimming temperature is better in summer as very cold when we usually visit in January. Breakfast lovely and resort entertainment crew excellent, especially Rory!! What a hoot.
The breakfast was really excellent (you need to select your choices and time the day before) and the staff very friendly. The location is great for exploring the Cairngorms. It is a short drive away from of Aviemore town center, so you don't get the crowds and traffic, but close enough to pick up things you need. There is plenty of parking and a lake right near by. The restaurant serves a nice variety of dishes.
Aviemore
From the very warm welcome we received to the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel everything was just perfect. (home made muffins were amazing and the fresh fruit was wonderful). The room spotlessly clean with superb attention to detail. I really couldn’t ask for more and what a great start to our Speyside walk. if we are ever stay inAviemore again there is no where else we would book.
The Hotel was spotlessly clean, with good covid precautions, very comfortable bed, good food, well spaced out dining. We would recommend this hotel, great grounds and ideal place for families, although not all facilities are open due to covid 🤨 It’s very close to Aviemore town, what more could you want for a safe break away in this delightful part of Scotland 😊
The hotel is close to all the amenities in Aviemore while being set back enough from the main street to be quiet at night. There are 2 ski resorts within an hours drive as well. The staff were excellent, reception and bar in particular. The food in the restaurant is great.
Located centrally in Aviemore the hotel is convenient for all the attractions of the town and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The hotels external appearance has good curb appeal.
Aviemore
The suite we had was great for three. The bathrooms had high quality fittings. The hotel is well-situated for exploring the town. We really enjoyed our stay.
The fact hotel is dog friendly. Hotel location we got a good deal on room prices was just a place to sleep while we explored Aviemore
Location of hotel is great. Large bedroom so plenty of space. Staff in the Spey burger were very friendly and helpful.
