Plenty Choice off accommodations, shops and places to eat to suit all tastes and prices, if self catering try Tesco, lidl, home bargains and more all in Aviemore. The chippy"s are amazing and everything from eating in or out, hairdressers old fashioned sweet shop, charity shops the list goes on is on 1 long street
Really nice place to wander around, lots of good hiking shops, really good pubs/bars. Very friendly staff in everywhere we went into. Really good places to eat, easy to navigate around, and easy to get from Aviemore to other places without too much agg or effort.
I liked the dormitory and it's settings with view of the woodlands all through the hostel was highly satisfactory, kitchen more than satisfactory, lounge spacious and welcoming with large TV +pool table, I would find it difficult to find any where better,*****.
Aviemore is a fantastic place to visit. There seems to be something for all ages. I saw loads of activities around. Shops, restaurants, chippy & pizza etc and supermarkets. The scenery is amazing with plenty car parks (parking charges in place). Walking routes and dog friendly and everything well signposted
There is lots to do and see. Beautiful scenery. A choice of activities anything from skiing, walking, thrill seeking and spas. Great for both adults and children. Nice restaurants, pubs and shopping. highly recommended
Aviemore is a great base to start your holiday in the Highlands. There are many lovely areas to explore closeby; for families, couples, groups and singles alike. Aviemore itself has had some refurbishment over the years but could still do with some more eateries/renovation of areas. That being said, you can't beat the view from all angles of the mountains. So breathtaking.
We were in the lodges this time and decor is very very tired. Big, clean lodge but just needs modernised (thread bare carpets isn’t appropriate for a £300 per night rate)!! Now been to Highlands & Aviemore hotels and still enjoy Aviemore as a location. Glad the swimming temperature is better in summer as very cold when we usually visit in January. Breakfast lovely and resort entertainment crew excellent, especially Rory!! What a hoot.
Aviemore
Lovely B&B that is centrally located to see quite a bit that Scotland has to offer. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our accommodations were spacious and comfortable. We had lots of room to stretch out. Breakfast was very good, loved the fresh fruit and yogurt.

The pub that's part of the hotel is great. Perfect for dinner and drinks, and breakfast was a perfect full Scottish (or vegetarian) too. Car park very convenient. Great location for a base for activities around Aviemore. The room was OK, just as expected, bed very comfortable.

The hotel was situated in the centre of Aviemore. The beds were comfy, the hotel staff were very cheery, the room furniture and breakfast were both nice.
Breakfast was excellent as was dinner. Staff were friendly. All together a very enjoyable break. The hotel is tastefully finished and comfortably warm.
A very good hotel, rooms a huge and meet all expectation, located only 10 min walk from the train station and city center with shops and restaurants.
There is not a huge amount to like about the hotel other than the fact that it is close to Aviemore. Breakfast was ok.
Location of hotel is great. Large bedroom so plenty of space. Staff in the Spey burger were very friendly and helpful.

Adrian was responded quickly to any questions I had, and was very accommodating to every need. He was very welcoming, good company and full of friendly tips and advice. The room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. When booking the room on booking.com you can apparently book a room without the breakfast option for a cheaper price, but it can be added for £10.
