Ideal for couples, friends or families this delightful, peaceful and light-filled 1st floor apartment in a Georgian building overlooks Framlingham’s historic market square. The small market town of Framlingham is famous for Ed Sheeran's song Castle on the Hill and its large, eponymous castle. There is private parking to the rear of the apartment and entry is via the courtyard shared with the one other apartment in the building. The apartment offers: Entrance hall. Opening out to a dining area 2 double bedrooms. One with a king size bed and one with an option of super-king or two singles. The bedding is non-feather duvets and pillows with Egyptian cotton covers and sheets. Sitting Room. Double aspect with Sofa and 2 arm chairs, TV. Modern kitchen Equipped with Hob, Oven and Grill, Fridge, Microwave and washing machine. Modern Shower room with walk-in shower. Towels provided. To reassure our guests around hygiene issues we have implemented measures for cleaning recommended by the authorities. We have also taken extra independent steps to provide added hygiene for our guests.
The owners live near Framlingham in Suffolk. It is important to them that you feel welcome and appreciated when travelling away from home. They are available by phone for help and suggestions. We accept small well behaved dogs by prior arrangement only.
Visitors to Framlingham can enjoy a good range of pubs, restaurants, independent shops and cafés right on the doorstep. This historic market town was once voted as ’one of the most desirable places to live’, as featured in Country Life magazine, and with a perfect blend of culture, history and stunning architecture - not forgetting the castle itself (English Heritage), it is easy to understand why. House on the Hill (just 150m from Lance's flat) can be glimpsed in episodes of Detectorists and there are other filming locations nearby. Sutton Hoo ( the film ‘The Dig ‘ ), RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich Heath, Rendlesham and Tunstall forests very nearby (all part of the extensive Suffolk Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - AONB). The whole area is great for food, whether you eat out or buy local produce at farm shops or local stores to prepare in the apartment. Nearby are the coastal towns of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Southwold. Good cycle routes and beautiful Suffolk villages to explore. Cambridge, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds & Colchester all drivable and train links from Ipswich. It is a short distance to four wedding venues making an ideal base for attending weddings.There are excellent networks of walks and cycle routes meandering through the nearby, pretty country and coastal Suffolk villages. The area is a fantastic location for cycling and has welcomed tours of Britain on a number of occasions. If you like cycling off-road Tunstall Forest has a Red course that provides a winding course through the trees and Rendlesham Forest has a less technical choice of cycle rides
