What a beautiful cottage in a great setting and an absolutely fantastic location. It has a high spec of everything from towels through to tv's. Even the drive down to the riverside from the main road over the 3 cattle grids gets you excited. Isolated but only a short walk to the nearest pub/restaurant. Suzie, the host couldn't have done any more for us. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely return.

Laundry Cottage is a newly renovated, beautifully furnished one bed cottage nestled on a quiet bank of the River Doon in Alloway, a great area for fishing, golfing, budding artists or just exploring Ayrshire and Scotland's West Coast. Fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher and two bathrooms with showers in each means this place lacks nothing. The Stunning views of the River Doon, together with the wildlife on the doorstep ensures peace and tranquillity during your stay.
Hi I'm Suzie, I live in Alloway with my husband Derek, my two sons and our springer spaniel. I started doing holiday letting as my boys are now a bit older and after years of working in the hospitality industry ( I was the Spa Manager at Turnberry hotel for many years, then had my own business) I thought this would be something I'd enjoy. I've always loved meeting new people and I know how important it is to have a good experience, where ever you stay. I hope you will enjoy Laundry Cottage, its in a beautiful spot in a lovely wee corner of the Scotland and I feel I can say that as I (my husband and sometime the kids) have done a fair bit of traveling around the world. However I still believe we have some of the best sunsets I've seen here on the west coast of Scotland !! We are an active family, I like to swim and walk, the boys love to play rugby and my husband and boys all play golf - like so many round this way! We also like cooking and socialising.
Laundry Cottage is situated just outside the picturesque village of historic Alloway in Ayrshire, a short walk to the world famous Brig O'Doon, the Brig O'Doon Hotel, Burns National Heritage Centre and Burns Cottage. The village itself hosts a pharmacy, cafe and small shop with lots of local produce. The cottage has glorious views over the idyllic River Doon, which runs for one and a half miles around the property, offering excellent opportunities as an artists retreat, fishing, bird watching and riverside walks. A Bus service is available from the village of Alloway into Ayr town centre where you can get easily get to Ayr Train Station or Ayr Bus Station.
