United KingdomBayview is in an excellent position facing the sea. You walk straight out of the apartment and you’re right on the front. Follow the path up to the monument where the views are amazing, you will pass a lovely little harbour on the way. A self serve breakfast had plenty of choice. 2 small bottles of wine on arrival was a lovely touch which we enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. The bed was large, comfortable and had good quality bedding. Quite a large apartment. There’s no parking outside as your on the seafront, we drove the car down the small road and unpacked then parked on the streets free which we were never more than 5 mins away and there was always plenty of spaces. David leaves a map in the room which shows you the free parking streets.

United KingdomNoise from the bar was horrendous ,went on till 1 am ,even the bedroom floor was vibrating we had to ask for a kettle. No remote for tv asked for help but couldn't get tv on on ,which may have crowded out noise from downstairs .we would have left after first night but couldn't get booked in elsewhere .we really should be offered some compensation for our spoiled holiday ,over priced £240 without breakfast only £180 in the Belvedere with full breakfast where our friends were. They all felt very sorry for us

Walking along the sea front was lovely, it's clean and folk are friendly. It's a pebble beach, dog friendly and well used. I have been visiting Stonehaven every year since I was born.
I have been visiting Stonehaven every year since I was born...(68 yrs!!) My gran and mum were from Macduff, so we stayed at the caravan site for many years then had a small cottage near the railway station where we also stayed. I love everything about Stonehaven, the town itself, the people, the harbour, beaches, walks and of course, gorgeous Dunnottar Castle! I believe it is packed in the warmer weather.
I believe it is packed in the warmer weather. Not surprising as it is near to Dundee for RRS Discovery and the Cairngorms on the way to go monster spotting. Firstly a fantastic little flat , you are right on the harbour which is quite a busy place when the weather is good , a couple of nice bars and restaurants and a cafe , town centre is a 5 minute walk and the sea front to towards town centre is a great walk with local sea view eateries . Breakfast is excellent. There are even vegetarian and vegan breakfasts. We had the Scottish breakfast, so delicious. The Belvedere is located in the city center, Dunnotar Castle is accessible on foot from Stonehaven harbour. We travel by train and the hotel is 10 minutes downhill! To leave the owner called us a taxi (2 min by taxi to get to the station) so we avoided the hill with the suitcases :)Guest review bySophieFrance
