Incredible staff. Felt like royalty staying here. Assumed this was a mediocre stay and was completely overwhelmed by lovely refurbishment with stunning loch side view, staff that went above and beyond and were hugely passionate about their beautiful boutiquey hotel, and ate some of the finest food I've ever had in a hotel. 20 out of 10!

Gorgeous location with the view on the loch. Wonderful staff. Loved the fireplace. Great launchpad to explore the surrounding coast area. The new management is clearly excited and driven to make the place even more special.

A hotel steeped in history that has just recently changed ownership. Daniel is running things and he was excellent. The location is beautiful on the shores of Loch Maree. The hotel will no doubt get needed TLC as new management takes care of things.

Nice room, bit of history about the place, easy to check in. Dinner was good (although needs to be pre-ordered before 6pm) and breakfast was tasty. Comfortable bed, took a few minutes to get the TV to work, even with the instructions and I'm still not sure how I did it, but all good in the end. Host was friendly but the processes could have been better explained (see below).

Great location, friendly staff and clean room and facilities. The hotel was well signposted along with plenty of parking. We were lucky enough to arrive on one of the sunniest days of the year so far, so that was also a plus! The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, and a great way to start our day after our night's stay.

The hotel had a relaxed Scottish feel to it and looks directly over Loch Maree. It is not near any other buildings and felt quite remote. Reception were helpful and friendly and explained about their struggles in getting staff to help run the hotel properly and this reflected in the number of people staying there. The room we had faced the road but it was very quiet. It was clean with tea coffee making facilities. It was a bit of a shock to see brown water running out of the taps into the bath but it was explained that their water came directly from source and filtered. The water did make my skin feel really soft and as an eczema sufferer I didn't itch for once! Lovely bed, didn't hear a sound, breakfast was usual Scottish options. Overall a good experience and I would stay there again
