Everything really. Our host was there to greet us (lived below) and what a nicely appointed, spacious and airy place to stay. We stayed for work, would happily stay with family for a holiday. The big windows and view from the bedrooms and lounge is a treat, nicely decorated and plenty of space/ nice comfy beds. It would be great to go back in better weather as the lunge also opens out onto a nice/ large balcony looking out to sea. Parking is roadside outside or over the road which we found OK. Nice local town area a short walk (10 mins) away as is the path down to the beach (2-3 mins).

Situated between the larger towns of Folkestone and Hythe, the seaside village of Sandgate not only offers a beautiful stretch of beach but an array of independent cafes, restaurants and pubs for you to sample set along its small high street, all within walking distance of Seagulls. A promenade graces the seafront, stretching from Folkestone, through Sandgate to Hythe, ideal for walking or cycling. A short 200 metres from Sandgate Heights is the Lower Leas Coastal Park, a lovely sheltered place to picnic and for children to play, whilst overlooking the sea.
