We have just returned from a long weekend at Rocklea, and it was absolutely fabulous! The cottage is a five minute walk from the centre of Bakewell, but still remains in a quiet and peaceful location. Rocklea is beautifully presented and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and ample space for everyone. It was spotlessly clean and warm, and everything worked! The beds were very comfortable, and we all slept like logs. There are loads of walks from the cottage, so we didn't have touse the car once. We had a great stay and would definitely book again.

Our recently renovated Bakewell Home enjoys an elevated and spacious position, with amazing views & a 5 min walk from the town with its lovely bridges and river. You can relax a log burner and comfy sofas, our family & bike friendly property sleeps 6 in comfort. Enjoys off road parking for 3 vehicles, and has an EV charger installed. (Extra Charge) There are gardens to the front & rear of the house, along with outside seating for the warmer summer days & nights. A fabulous place to stay & enjoy all that Bakewell has to offer all year around. The property has Internet throughout.
I won't be around in person, however - I will be available to answer any questions via email and will endeavour to answer as promptly as possible. My husband and I personally renovated Rocklea over a 3 year period, every single room had to be done and we also redesigned the whole property installing a loft conversion with 2 ensuite shower rooms and an extra bathroom downstairs which has a bath. The house is out of the way of the main Hussle and Bustle of a busy town and has a tranquil feel about it. I always enjoy staying at Rocklea and I hope you do as well.
Bakewell is a Market Town with regular markets on a Monday selling local produce. There are great walks from the house as well as further afield and the popular Monsal Trail is just a short distance. The house is up a steep hill which gives it an elevated position so please be aware if you have mobility problems.
