Really smart hotel with good adjustments for people with disabilities, our room was quiet and a good size, large bathroom with roll in shower, dog friendly and were given a bag of dog treats and a water bowl when we checked in. Staff were all very friendly - definitely be back and highly recommend.

We liked Doncaster but found finding information about both Lakeside and Lakeside village limited. On visiting lakeside Village for the first time we found it very difficult to find a clear route through, access to areas we wanted ended up taking us back out and we ended up driving down a dual carriage way to a roundabout in order to turn and return. Clearer signage would help.
We love the bypasses around Doncaster, easy to access and good signage. We used both Toby carvery, Campanile and McDonald's plus meal deals and snacks from Asda and Tescos and M&S to manage our food needs but there are other options if preferred. There appeared to be regular bus services to and from Doncaster and Lakeside and Lakeside Village shopping areas, and other activities were clearly marked from both bypasses and major intersections for those driving.
Driving at rush hour unless needed, before 8am andafter 9 am was much easier, as was before 4pm and after 6pm.

I stayed near Doncaster, in Hatfield, which has a great selection of top class pubs, especially the BlueBell. The house is close to a number of large shopping centres, and an excellent Indian restaurant, Mumbai.

Only stayed one night as we were touring and needed a cosy bed . Sadly this was the worst night's sleep of our holiday and both suffered backache in the morning - so would not return here. Shame because location and parking was ideal. Carvery was very good; breakfast was lacking and muddled. No juices, cereals or yoghurts and fruit. Pancakes available, but no maple syrup to add on. was 'ok' but you are just left to get on with it. Felt like no one cared.

My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing.
My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing. I noted that the racecourse is just a couple of minutes from where I was staying, and the Lakeside shopping centres a few minutes more in the opposite direction. I would have liked to visit the air museum but didnt have time

The Hotel is situated in an ideal location. It is a five minute walk to the town centre, and a ten minute walk to the racecourse. It has it's own good sized car park. The hotel interior is exquisite and spotlessly clean. The bedroom was a large size. The bed was very comfortable and large. The bathroom had the added bonus of a walk in shower. The restaurant served delicious food, and there is also a two sperate bar areas. Last, but not least the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Room was huge. Air-source heating was really good. Breakfast comprehensive and porridge cooked at request was delicious. Reception staff really helpful. We wanted to visit Doncaster town centre and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which made it very easy. There is also a Park and Ride a mile further on but it didn't look much used.
Evening meal was good. Ample parking. Lovely gardens and good local footpaths at the right time of year.
