Are the gardens were beautiful. The room was spacious and super clean. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. Amelia graciously brought us more coffee to go with the toast and English jams.

Meadow View is a delightfully presented rural retreat in the heart of East Sussex. An idyllic spot surrounded by beautiful countryside, endless walks whilst boasting a super king bed to cosy up in. The charming historical village of Mayfield can be walked or driven to, with its picturesque street of shops, a deli, Truffles bakery & comfy pubs. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a 15min drive with a vast amount of shops and eateries. Close by ~ Glyndebourne Opera House, Ashdown forest, National Trust houses, vineyards & the beach (Pevensey Bay, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Camber Sands etc) Brighton - 50 min, Rye - 55 min Breakfast provided - Continental - Bread (+ toaster), butter, jams, OJ
FOOD options WHITE'S GARDEN NURSERY & TEA ROOMS - fantastic food, great for brunch/coffee/cake, be sure to check their Facebook page for opening times (15 min walk up the lane, 2 min drive) Local PUBS ROSE AND CROWN - Mayfield - Cosy pub (5 min drive, 50 min walk) The MIDDLE HOUSE - Mayfield - Restaurant and pub (5 min drive, 50 min walk) LAZY FOX - Mark Cross - part of Elite pub chain, large garden with pretty views (10 min drive) BLACKBOYS INN - Blackboys - cosy pub with good food (8 min drive) The GRIFFIN INN - Fletching - fantastic pub, top for food, views etc etc!
