During our stay at Mountain view,the weather was perfect,we were up early most mornings,aa we had planned walking trips among the plethora of fells and mountains in and around the lake district,so we had breakfast each morning in the conservatory with a beautifu clear view of the mountain and Dumfries,you simply couldn't ask for a better view.if you have a dog,like ourselves,there is ample walking right on the doorstep,we had a lovely little walk along the footpaths and shore to Grune Point with the children and our little Jack Russell Dizzy,we sat and had a picnic at Grune point in the sunshine before walking back,all in all,it killed a good few hours of our time.

Private parking for 1 car; additional garage parking for 1 car. Bike/equipment store available. No smoking. Please note: There is a pond in the garden and the property is 50 yards from the sea. The property is not suitable for those with mobility issues.. Overlooking the picturesque Solway Coast towards the mountains of Scotland, this charming single storey cottage is within a stone’s throw of the beach. A glass sun room fronts the cottage to allow you to make the most of the ever changing views and the conservatory has views over the sea towards Scotland. Set on the edge of the popular seaside town of Silloth, this spacious and comfortable cottage is just a short walk from the town’s amenities including 2 minutes to the outdoor tennis courts. Silloth is home to a world class challenging Links golf course, excellent coastal walking and is very near to the start of Hadrian’s Long Distance Cycleway for 26 miles of traffic-free cycling. The RSPB Solway Wetlands Centre nearby is ideal for bird lovers. There are many other attractions and places to visit in the area including Maryport, Cockermouth, the Northern Lakes, Hadrian’s Wall and even Southern Scotland. Free WiFi
