Beautiful property - hotel felt modern enough but still with plenty of historic charm. Loved the idea of sitting by the fire with a drink in the shared lounge area. The man at the front desk (I forgot his name, so sorry!!) was amazing. He was so friendly checking us in and helping us with our bags. He also made us a list of places to go for a Sunday roast. Would love to visit again.

Inverness is a lovely smaller city. Nice restaurants and pubs. We had a lovely evening at MacGregor's Pub. Dinner was very good and great entertainment by Michael Lewis. The walk along the River Ness was quite beautiful. We explored Culloden which was very interesting.

Pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
Pleasantly surprised how nice it was. A few folks questioned our decision to spend 2 nights, but they were wrong. Christina at our B&B suggested 2 restaurants, of which, the Rocpool, was easily the best on our two weeks in Scotland. Leakey's Bookshop and the Botanic Gardens are both worth a visit.

I knew Inverness in the seventies and the centre of the city hadn’t change much except like everywhere else it is more cosmopolitan The character is good as ever it was .l enjoyed sightseeing
I ate out the 3 nights I was there 1 the truly Scottish restaurant where they served everything containing whiskey even the mince and tatties and the cranacan was to die for also a small Indian restaurant called ever green I think and there was one down academy street I can’t remember the name of
I found it easy to get around Inverness
I spent too much time in the archive building I wouldn’t do that again
My favourite places were the walks by the river Ness both sides and on the island . That enchanted Forrest with its snarled trees and shapely benches and the boat trip on Loch Ness and the Caledonian canal and the people of the town were so friendly

So many beautiful towns in Scotland.
So many beautiful towns in Scotland. We chose to spend two nights in Inverness. In retrospect, one night would have been enough. We had a delicious dinner at McBains. Enjoyed our visit at the Dunrobin Castle.

This stay was like stepping back into a past era of hotel management long disappeared in cheaper hotel accommodation . Beautiful up to date rooms with all modern comforts, accompanied by an attentive ,efficient staff to whom nothing was too much trouble and a delicious breakfast .This made Ness Walk the perfect place to stay on our short visit to Inverness.
If we had a criticism, it would be the charge for parking the car .
We stayed 2 nights in this lovely house. The room is extremely clean and tidy, and we were warmly received by the host. The host was so kindly to offer us the hearty home-made Scottish breakfast and even allowed us to use their laundry machine - which we sincerely appreciated. During our 2-week vacation in Scotland in 7 different hotels/bnb, this has been the best stay of our trip!
Our stay in Doric House was absolutely AMAZING! Jamie and his family are the best hosts you could ever wish for. Jamie has a great historic knowledge of Inverness and Scotland itself. He recommended some beautiful walks to us. The house is immaculate. The breakfast is beautiful. 100% would recommend anyone staying here. I can't wait to be back!
The room was comfortable and quite spacious. A good place to start our journey through the North of Scotland. The shower was warm and the bathroom was very clean. For the budget price, the room was good and the staff really friendly. Super easy to get into central Inverness too.
Driving in all is clear ! Safe open parking front of hotel! Rooms are very comfortable! The breakfast is good and just got better! Having swimming pool ect brilliant!! I stay in over 100 hotels each year! This best value in Scotland!! T.U ANNE.
