This stunning cottage retains much character, with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and some lovely antique furniture. The cosy living room has a Victorian range with an open fire (initial logs provided, then at cost), comfortable seating, TV/DVD/Freeview/Video, radio/CD and payphone. There is intermittent access to unlimited WiFi but this can be affected by the weather. The small kitchen/dining room includes a washing machine, freezer and dishwasher and has stunning views towards the lake. There are two bedrooms, both with polished wooden floors. The double has an antique brass bed, and the twin, two antique wooden beds with traditional welsh blanket covers. The compact bathroom, with double shower, is also on the first floor. Heating is by storage and convector heaters. Ochr y Foel is set within 6 acres of its own land with a terraced garden. The garden furniture is positioned to make the most of the stunning views and paths lead down through the garden to your own lakeside pebble beach. Undercover bike storage is available. The grounds are shared with the owners in the neighbouring cottage.

There are fabulous walks and mountain bike trails from the door. A circular walk makes its way around the lake and there is a delightful lakeside cafe open during the summer. Trout fishing on the lake. A small shop, pub and cafe in Trefiw (4 miles) along with a working woollen mill and craft shop. Further shops and all the facilities of a small town can be found at the market town of Llanrwst or the ever popular Betws-y-Coed. Both Conwy Castle and the National Trust's Bodnant Gardens are approximately 13 miles away, Snowdon 20 miles and for the adventure seeker Surf Snowdonia Adventure Park with its inland surf lagoon.
