The Old Wharf Cottage is a beautiful, thatched, riverside retreat, nestled between two islands on the picturesque banks of the River Thames. The house is situated minutes from the historic towns of Windsor + Eton and is a great central base to explore famous locations and attractions such as Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed, Virginia Water, Windsor and Ascot Racecourses, Thorpe Park, Legoland, Kew and Savill Gardens and Hampton Court Palace, with Central London also just 23 miles away.
Quiet riverside village, close to central London and The beautiful town of Windsor. The villiage's local pub 'the George' is within short walking distance and is a highly rated cosy eatery perfect for a sunday roast, recommended booking in advance. We have good rail links close by, from both Slough and Sunny Mead rail stations to central London taking approx. 40 minutes to Paddington Station. Good air links from Heathrow (15mins) and Gatwick (45mins) and convenient transport links exist to both. Windsor is only 5 minutes away with access to attractions such as Windsor Castle, the Magna Carta memorial and river cruises, as well as a host of restaurants and other attractions.
