Easy to get to. Take the bus as the taxi service from the airport is a BIG ripoff. The hotel is literally3-5 mins walk from the bus drop off point. The room was clean and comfortable. There was however, an air vent in the wall was blowing out cool air which became an issue overnight because of the draught it caused.
The shopping mall was on the doorstep. Everything was within five minutes walking. Our stay was to go 15mins drive to whipsnade zoo. Overall we had a great time& will be coming back to stay in the future for even just a break!! Well done to all the friendly staff Gary & Denise x
The best thing about the Trip was the event that we came for and the Wetherspoon for providing a fabulous 8 ounce steak and salad. The actual town centre left a lot to be desired there are groups of people milling around aimlessly , sleeping rough, groups of dubious looking people it was awful. Its the town that's been forgotten and if this town did not have the Universities there then it would be nowhere you would willingly go
A great place for shopping, relaxing & getting out of London for the day. Affordable, quite centralised & some good stores in the nearby shopping centre.Very central & fairly easy to 'walk around', Good for families & 'short breaks'.
Nothing to brag about but a decent place. Good town to stay if you are planning the zoo. Taxis can take you in pretty quickly. The Barton Hills Nature Reserve is a quiet trail and refreshing. There are parks around where kids can have fun. Decent pubs around too.
As with most international towns and cities, Luton has its share of troubles. If you're visiting for the first time be alert to your belongings and what to have on display such as cameras etc. Be aware of the dozens of homeless people scattered all over the place. Many beg for money or food. Don't be alone at night!
Really value for the money in London, Luton, close to airport and Luton center, shopping mall, Tesco. I'm happy with the price paid, got value for my money. Place is 10 minutes from Luton airport and bus and train station are just across the road which is a huge plus as well. Room covers the basics, shower was brilliant and probably best part of the room, shower I'd say matches 4 starts hotel or better. Room is basic but covers most requirements - wifi, tv, coffee maker, desk, chair.
Some limited parts to covid I expected. Location as a little noisy but as it was near the town I knew this, so very easy to go eat etc compared to a airport hotel. Staff were excellent and helpful, even apologetic about the problems but it’s not there Fault there is a pandemic on, and they did way more Than I expected under the circumstances. Very nice and clean room the price was very good for what I go I will be using this now whenever I visit Luton again.
We only stayed here before our early morning flight BUT wished we had more time here! It was such a breath of fresh air after being stuck in a shoebox size hotel room in London. Wonderful size room, bathroom and very comfortable and clean. There is a 3rd party shuttle to the airport which can be early or late (for us was ~10min late), but only a few euros. Not a single issue or thing I'd change.
We wanted somewhere decent to sleep waiting for an early flight from Luton Airport and it fulfilled that. Very cheap and good value for money. Clean with a nice bathroom. The pub food was excellent.
