A lovely place to stay, nicely renovated, clean and comfortable and plenty of space for us. We didn’t need the log fire but it was nice to know it was there. Belinda supplied clear directions for getting to the cottage and she is able to give local recommendations if needed. We liked the lovely dark skies and the large double bed gave us good sleeps.

Orchard Cottage is set in the picturesque countryside of North Wales. This cosy stone cottage is set alongside the River Ceirw. There are plenty of walks on your doorstep and it is near the peaceful town of Corwen with Snowdonia National Park, the coast and other tourist attractions a short drive away. With endless opportunities of days out from your doorstep, Orchard Cottage is a peaceful rural retreat you can return to each day or simply stay and relax at.

The property is located on the edge of a farm where you can go for a country walk from the doorstep to see the cows and sheep, or simply walk along the river. The cottage is near the town of Corwen, which offers plenty of amenities and things to do, including greengrocers, bakeries, butchers and a children’s play area. Set within the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this picturesque town has plenty of idyllic walks to partake in, including several riverside strolls due to its excellent proximity to five rivers that all meet in Corwen. Corwen is surrounded by history and heritage; learn about Owain Glyndwr, the self-proclaimed Prince of Wales, climb through the heather to Caer Drewyn, which dates back to 800 BC and is one of the most important Iron Age hill forts. A short distance away are the National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erdigg, as well as the fascinating ruins of Cistercian Valle Crucia Abbey and Castellated Dinas Bran.
