Situated in Upper Bangor, above Patrick's Bar. Just a 5-minute walk from the main university building and 10 minutes from the town centre and all other university departments. Ideal base for visiting different areas of North Wales. The Flat is on 2 levels and has two newly refurbished bedrooms 1 King Sized bed & a single, there is also a bed settee in the single room. TVs are wifi. There is 1 shower & 1 WC. A fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, fridge/freezer dishwasher, and Foldable table & essentials. The property is only accessible by 2 sets of stairs so is unsuitable for individuals with mobility issues. You have private access and the building is fully alarmed.
I am always available, as I own and run the Bar downstairs. You can message me at any time, after confirmation of your booking and during your stay, through the free wifi provided, or in person.
Gwynedd, Wales, United Kingdom Upper Bangor still retains a healthy population of non-students, and we have a very diverse ethnic mix, reflected in the shops and eateries in Bangor as a whole. There are several eating places in Upper Bangor, from; Cafés, Takeaways, restaurants, and 2 doors down we have The Best Pizza Shop in the World. The main supermarket a 3-minute walk is Morrisons but we also have Asda's Lidl, Aldi Waitrose, M&S and Tesco. We have The Pontio Centre which is Bangor's new arts and innovation centre in the centre of Bangor and is home to a flexible mid-scale theatre, a studio theatre which holds up to 120 people, a 200-seater digital cinema, and a cutting-edge Innovation Centre. It also offers food and drinks at Ffynnon bar on Level 0, Cegin café on Level 2, and Copa kiosk on Level 5. It's huge. Pontio offers an eclectic mix of entertainment seven days a week, from the latest film releases and independent films to music and drama, gigs, contemporary circus and aerial theatre, cabaret shows and more. We are an ideal location to go travelling from; Locally we have Bangor Cathedral, Penrhyn Castle, Beaumaris Castle and Conway Castle, Also Zip World both Penrhyn Quarry and Blaenau Ffestiniog with zip wire and bounce below. Adventure Parc Snowdonia with indoor & outdoor activities, including a surf lagoon, climbing walls & tunnels, Llanberis Lake Railway, Snowdon Mountain and Railway with The Electric Mountain, a State-of-the-art hydropower station and The Ffestiniog Railway. Some local attractions: There are several attractions within easy reach; Anglesey Sea Zoo, Red Wharf Bay (Beach surfing), Bodnant Garden, and Portmeirion the Italian Village is an hour away. Getting around Bangor has Excellent Transport Links with Llandudno, Caernarfon, Porthmadog, Holyhead, and all the villages and beaches in between. The Traws Cambrian T2 bus, which can take you to Aberystwyth (Mid Wales) is only 3 minutes walk away.
