We booked a weekend away and chose Shute Lodge, really friendly owner greeted us and the place was amazing, lots of privacy and very pleased with our booking. Had everything we needed, great kitchen and all the facilities were excellent; amazing to have an AC machine during this heatwave. Cooking hob worked great, really nice to have the TV with Netflix to watch in the evening while having dinner. Inside of the lodge was very well presented and had a unique charm to it. The outdoor pool was good fun and it was a great temp, the outdoor shower included was a nice touch. Heated up in no time at all. Only a short walk down the road into Bovey Tracey or a short drive to the other cool locations in the area. Highly recommend to stay here. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

A very warm welcome to our beautiful lodge, a much loved property on the outskirts of the small town of Bovey Tracey, located in a hidden wooded glade, but conveniently adjacent to the owners 15c Thatched farmhouse . Boasting 1 bedroom, plenty of space for socialising plus flexible accommodation, this cottage makes the perfect peaceful holiday home for a couple, conveniently located on the edge of Dartmoor National Park so ideal for hiking and cycling (adjacent to the Wray Valley Trail) or for trips to the South Devon Coast, the vibrant city of Exeter and locally the myriad lanes of Devon offer opportunities for exploring the nature of this stunning corner. Everything about this property has been well thought out from the retro decor through to the high quality and comfortable furnishings to create a relaxed and luxurious feeling. As a self-catering cottage, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a freezer, a toaster and a microwave. The cottage is a perfect place to relax and offers free-sat television (with Netflix), a Bluetooth speaker unit and although this is the perfect quiet get away we provide high speed internet access via space X . Or just chill with one of the many books There is one bedroom in this cottage which contains a double bed provided with a high quality Otty mattress and pillows with plenty of hanging space and under bed storage There is one bathroom, which has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower. Outside there is a South facing covered veranda with seating that offer views through the trees to Dartmoor, the glade has an additional feasting area with table, chairs, BBQ, and fire pit,. There is a secure area for locking and washing down bikes and exterior lighting for security. A unique feature of this barn is the outside private hot tub with views over the adjacent field .
