Willkommen in Piper's Cave, ursprünglich im Besitz einer Familie von Piper's, die hier in den Hügeln von Gartymore ihre Musik üben. Es liegt in der Nähe der Route NC500 A9 und ist somit eine ideale Unterkunft für Reisende, die das schottische Hochland bereisen. Wir haben dieses schöne alte schottische Croft-Haus, das 1890 gebaut wurde, kürzlich restauriert und mit allen modernen Einrichtungen ausgestattet, um es zu einem sehr gemütlichen Ferienhaus zu machen. Mit Zentralheizung, Gefrierschrank, Mikrowelle, Waschmaschine, Trockner und eigenem WC. Privater Parkplatz und ein umzäunter Patiogarten. Nach fast 3 Jahren sind wir begeistert, dass unser Gästebuch voller freudiger Kommentare von begeisterten Gästen ist und wir freuen uns, weiterhin Gäste aus der ganzen Welt zu begrüßen.
Ich bin Mutter meines erwachsenen Sohnes und meiner Tochter und Oma meiner beiden Enkel und Enkelin. Ich denke, Großbritannien hat uns so viel zu bieten, so viel Geschichte und Kultur. Ich liebe es zu reisen und Orte mit diesem Wow-Faktor zu erkunden! Gartymore ist etwas ganz Besonderes, nicht nur wegen seiner wunderschönen Lage, sondern auch wegen der Geschichte des Crofter und seiner damaligen Kämpfe.
Ein wunderschöner Teil Schottlands, eine großartige landschaftliche Lage mit Blick auf den Moray Firth und die schönen Hügel von Helmsdale. Ein großartiger Ausgangspunkt, um die NC500-Route zu erkunden und was Schottland zu bieten hat ..... Das Weltkulturerbe im Naturschutzgebiet Forsinard Flows, wilde Hirsche, Drachen, Goldwaschen. Angeln in Flüssen / Löchern, Meeresangeln, Fossiliensuche, professioneller Golfplatz, Whiskybrennereien. Schloss Mey, Schloss Dunrobing, Schloss Dunkeld. Orkney-Inseln, Cape Wrath, Strath von Kildonnan, Morven, Scaraben. Die Berge von Ben Loyal und Ben Hope sind leicht zu erreichen. In der Nähe der Piper's Cave gibt es so viele abwechslungsreiche und interessante Orte, die die Besucher erkunden können. 3 Autominuten von der Küstenstraße A9 von Inverness und 5 Autominuten vom Dorf Helmsdale mit Geschäften und Restaurants entfernt. Wick ist ca. 40 Autominuten nördlich und Inverness ist ca. 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten entfernt. Wir haben Flughäfen in Wick und Inverness, Züge in Inverness und Schlafwagen sowie einen Bahnhof und Busse in Helmsdale.
