• Minimum 2 nights • Sleeps 6 - 8 • 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms • Large kitchen table for 8 • TV, FreeSat, DVD, books & games • Underfloor heating & wood/peat burning stove • Large garden with sunken trampoline, swings, children's toys, bbq • Bruichladdich Distillery (whisky & The Botanist gin tours), village shop, beaches and walks all on your doorstep • Port Charlotte - restaurants, pubs, beaches, shop 5 min drive Situated along the shoreline, Portbahn is a new, modern, well insulated house with the main living areas all open plan, airy and with sea views. It has 3 bedrooms (2 with sea views) all on the ground floor, one ensuite and a family bathroom. The kitchen, lounge, dining and back conservatory area are all open plan with wifi throughout. There is a tv, freesat box, dvd, bluetooth sound system and large selection of books & games. A log burning stove and underfloor heating throughout makes winter stays as toasty as summer ones. There is a large, private, mature and well maintained garden with uninterrupted and breathtaking views across Lochindaal. Ample car parking on the drive. We have WiFi Ring doorbells in our properties, pointing outward at the driveway. The camera in the doorbell records and is motion-activated & operates 24/7. I can access the camera via Ring app any time. There are NO cameras inside the property.
I have rented out the house for a few years now and met some wonderful people along the way. We live on Jura but are availalbe to come over any time should you need us and we often do the changeovers ourselves. Please get in touch if you need anything. Pi Davidson
We are situated on the Rhinns of Islay; a short walk will get you to Bruichladdich Distillery, home of many quality whiskies, including Octomore & Black Art, and of course Islay's only gin, The Botanist. They are now running gin tours as well as whisky tours. As well as being a 10min walk from Bruichladdich Distillery, it is the same distance to the local shop (post office) for every day needs, as well as great coffee and a toastie or bacon sandwich! Port Charlotte is a 40 min walk or a 5 min drive and has three good restaurants and the hotel has evenings of local music. Port Mor also has a Bistro and a playground at the campsite. Bowmore has a comprehensive supermarket sufficient for all needs during a stay and is a 15 min drive.
