Had a lovely little trip for a few nights with our dog. Loved the outside bath tub and the beautiful view from the outdoor area. Very comfy bed. Just enough kitchen equipment to get by. The gated garden was perfect for our small dog to be off-lead...

The log cabin has been created to give our guests a private, peaceful, cosy stay with a rustic feeling of getting away from it all. There are stunning views of Dartmoor from your decking, where you can enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles on the sofa, surrounded by fur rugs & pillows. The combination of Beaches and Moorland are beautiful area's to explore with something for everyone! Alternatively, listen to the crackle of the log burner whilst peacefully watching your favourite movies. You are situated in a sheltered sunny valley where you can look down on the birds of prey flying around and the lambs chasing each other. It is so very peaceful and relaxing sat on the decking soaking up the view. It is great to get away from it all but in case of rainy days, there is also a wall mounted TV which has no areal, only TV via the internet so you can enjoy net flicks/amazon prime etc. Occasionally we can have a poor signal due to being so rural, but most of the time it works fine! There is WIFI in the Log Cabin. Dogs are very welcome; it is the perfect place for wonderful walks across Dartmoor National Park. The garden should be secure and private for them unless they are small enough to climb through the gate! Please let me know if you are bringing one on your booking. There is an outdoor bath for two, in a private garden so you can look up at the stars. This is my favourite place but it is not for everyone! This is part of your log cabin but it is not for everyone! There is a hot tub next door which is available occasionally, if my cottage is not booked. Please feel free to ask and if it is available I will organise this for you. I will only be able to confirm its availability when you have arrived. My guest tell me they are loving the bath and would rather it to the hot tub!
Welcome! We built this log cabin for my teenage girls as they were growing up and it has evolved into a favourite place for us all to stay still when we want to get away from it all. I hope you enjoy it. My previous guest over the past 3 years have loved it and I have many repeat visitors. I love sitting on the decking and enjoying a drink with my friends and family. I will pop a complimentary bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for you too. The log cabin is always described by guests as cosy, romantic, homely, peaceful and relaxing - I hope this will also be your experience! The bathroom is heated by the sun and has a wonderfully hot shower in an open, rustic, wet room - it is surprisingly pleasurable! The 'Eco Loo' is a new experience for some guests but all have been pleasantly surprised so far. This is cleaned and made fresh for all my guests and is environmentally friendly. You have your own two person external bath which is hidden away in your private garden with fairy lights and candles - a wonderful experience you simply must try! There is a fire pit that you can sit around in your garden, you will need to bring your own logs for this. Great for roasting marshmallows and can be used to bbq food but you will need to bring your own charcoal and there is no temperature control so can it be challenging... I am always available for you throughout your stay and I will do my best to make it a great experience for you! Warmest wishes, Miranda
Bridford is small village in the scenic Teign Valley in South Devon, we are situated just outside it in a rural location. We are on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park which is a hikers paradise with stunning Tors and rugged countryside. The Haldon Forest Park is only 3 miles from Bridford, where you can enjoy activities such as Go Ape Tree Top Adventure, off road cycle trails, horse riding, Segway Tours and much more set in 3500 acres of woodland. Within 20 minutes you can reach the beach in Teignmouth and Shaldon too. Approx 30 minutes away is Torbay. A lot of activities to keep the children occupied such as: Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts, Kents Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village and so much more. A fantastic place to stay whether it’s the hot summer evenings or cold frosty evenings in the living room watching a movie. If you love walks and the Great outdoors, there is plenty to choose from in the area. Our local pub 'The Bridford Arms' does great food and is within walking distance (up hill on the way there but coming home is easy!). There are numerous other lovely pubs within a 5 minute drive. It is a 15 minute drive to Exeter and the A30/A38. We are just above the beautiful river Teign (great for wild swimming) and surrounded by wonderful walks across Dartmoor. Dawlish Warren, a 25-minute drive, has sand dunes, swimming, moorings and the usual seaside treats, whilst Exmouth, 40 minutes away, has a long sandy beach with many amenities and is popular with kitesurfers and for rock pooling too. There are several National Trust properties within a short distance from the house too. The stunning local reservoirs offer beautiful scenery and fabulous walks along with the Teign Vally golf course. Explore the lovely coastal towns and villages of the South Hams or the stunning surfing beaches of North Devon and Cornwall, or stick closer by and take one of many walks from the house which loop back to the village with stunning views of the Teign Valley.
