Amazing location if you don’t mind the steps, cottage is lovely with everything you need, didn’t need to move the car as we either walked, caught the bus, ferry and steam train (from Kingswear) The owner was really helpful, messaging us through out our stay to make sure everything was OK

A beautiful dog-friendly fisherman’s cottage with many original features. A cosy haven, just 2 minutes from the harbour, sleeps 5 & is dog & child-friendly. Decorated to a high-spec standard, it also boasts free WiFi, 2 smart tvs, a Nintendo Wii & a log-burning fire. From both bedrooms and the courtyard, you'll be able to enjoy views of Brixham's picturesque harbour. There is a nicely decorated kitchen, and a laundry room / cot room, upstairs next to the bathroom. The bathroom itself, is decorated to a high standard, and features a bath, an electric shower and a heated towel rail. Brixham is a beautiful harbour town (Devon's Padstow), with pretty painted fisherman's cottages. Ferries to Dartmouth, Paignton & Torquay can be court directly from the harbour, and you'll see plenty of boats & yachts at the Marina. There are many independent 'quirky' shops, and you will also find a Co-op and a Tesco Express on the highstreet (a three minute walk away), which will provide you with everything you need for your entire holiday.
We warmly invite you to Brixham, and most importantly, to 'Salty's'! We purchased our cottage in December 2018, and have given it a full, and complete revamp. From brand new furniture, accessories and mod-cons, we feel that it ticks every box! We also decided to provide our guests with free WiFi, flatscreen TVs, Netflix and a Nintendo Wii (our children demanded it!) We personally love everything about Brixham, and these are the reasons why . . . * The restaurants - Our absolute favourite: 'Rockfish', owned by famous chef, 'Mitch Tonks' * The people - it's a bustling, working port with a very friendly atmosphere, and plenty of characters to boot! * The history - the allied forces set off from Brixham in 1944. British engineers built the slipway, which is still used today * The great outdoors - We recommend walking to the beautiful Marina, and following the coastal path past Breakwater Beach, and onto Berry Head Nature Reserve. It's almost guaranteed that you'll see seals, and/or porpoises (a whale even came for a visit in 2017!) You can also take part in many water activities, including canoeing & diving
The English Riveria, where Brixham is located, boasts many warm and sunny months. The Brixham area is surrounded by lovely dog-walking areas, particularly at Berry Head, (where you'll also find Shoalstone outdoor swimming pool). Between Churston Golf Club and Brixham harbour, you'll find Churston Cove. It's easily walkable from the town, and it's a beautifully secluded cove, with lots of crabbing and seal-spotting opportunities. It's dog-friendly, and is great for snorkelling and kayaking. Brixham has a plentiful amount of bars and restaurants, another favourite being Rockfish; it also offers tours of the fishmarket. Finally, let's not forget the local artisan market twice a week, and of course, the 'Pirate Festival' in May! Please note, that once you have found a parking spot (there is plenty of roadside parking in the area around the top of the steps), there is no need to drive anywhere else for the rest of the week! You can catch regular ferries to Dartmouth, Totnes, Torquay & Paignton, directly from the harbour. Alternatively, why not spend the day on a 'Round Robin' trip, where you can travel via stream train, ferry & bus; again, without even having to move your car
