Location was great, is just a 15 minute walk to Brixham harbor from the property. Property is in 2 halves, great for us as we had 6 adults so we had lots of space, there are 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and 4 double bedrooms. We were in Brixham for a family wedding at Berry Head so location ideal. Hosts were amazing, very accommodating and flexible with good communication, thank you Bruce. Lovely personal touches like the cream tea and milk left for our arrival. Would highly recommend.

The owners couldn’t have been any more friendly, helpful or professional. The breakfast choices were off the scale to my previous experiences with other guest house's, the room was well equipped very clean and extremely comfortable The food was cooked to perfection. All round 10/10 plus, we will certainly make this a must stay again place
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Family Tides Brixham features accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

The location of the property was excellent, just minutes from the main harbour (although the stairs were hard work!)
We loved the roof terrace and the whole house had a homely but quirky feel.

A small working fishing town, where fresh fish is a must if you stay. There is a high street with three small supermarkets for essentials, a range of tourist and charity shops.
Walking will take you to a small pebble beach in one direction or to Fish cove in the other.
We went on the weekend of Torbay airshow and walked over to the cove to watch the afternoon show which was good.
We ate at Albero restaurant on two nights - their fish meals were excellent and didn't break the bank.

We liked the town very much, although it was pirate festival so not seeing it under normal circumstances. We ate at Beamer's and The Berry Head Hotel, both excellent. There is a vibrant working harbour and the whole place is very walkable. The pirates were fun too!

Brixham is a working fishing harbour, so if you like eating fresh fish it is a no brainer. The centre is based around the harbour and there are some short flat walks round the harbour and along the breakwater. There are several good restaurants (not all fish), two or three nice pubs, a wine bar and a cocktail bar. There are some wonderful views if you walk up to Berry Head and the old fort. You can of course walk the coastal path north to Paignton and Torquay or south to Kingswear and Dartmouth. Or instead take the ferry or book a longer boat trip. There is also the steam train from Torquay to Dartmouth which you can intercept at Churston.

Great choice for places to eat.
Great choice for places to eat. The walks around the area are so scenic but hard going if you are not used to hiking. Lots of places where you can just sit in peace and quiet. Worth a walk up to Berry Head and the forts. Some nice nature walks as well. Also walk up to the Battery and the coves just further along the coast path.

Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk.
Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk. It's a lovely town that does not have the winter shut down feel of some other coastal towns in the UK, probably because it is also a working port town so never really completely switches off.
We ate in La Petit Maison and Rock Fish; both fabulous restaurants that I can highly recommend and drinks/cocktails in Liberties on the Harbour front; also very much recommended.
Lovely friendly welcome from Linda and Joe who made us feel like friends straight away, nothing was too much trouble at all. Our room was immaculate, lovely and modern with everything you could ask for, bath robes were even supplied for the mini spa facilities, they really have thought of everything. The breakfast choices available are the best we’ve ever seen and we weren’t disappointed when it arrived, delicious. An amazing Guest House, would thoroughly recommend Brookside for your next trip to Brixham. We will definitely be back.
We love Brixham Harbour we were visiting for our wedding anniversary. The location of the hotel was perfect central to everything we wanted & the view was amazing!
The room was on the 2nd floor with a sea view beautifully made up bed, good size bathroom with bath & shower. A window seat to sit & enjoy the harbour i could have watched all day.
Really friendly helpful staff. Hotel carpark just up the road.
Good choice of breakfast. Would highly recommend we will definitely be back!
Clear instructions to gaining access to the apartment. The location is excellent and very close to bars, restaurants, shops and harbour. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, warm and well looked after. The complimentary wine, crisps, scones, jam and clotted cream were a really nice touch. There was also milk, biscuits, tea, coffee and sugar. Things like that are very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent.
Beautiful guest house in a great location around a 10 minute walk from the town centre and harbour. The room was absolutely spotless and the couple who run it are so kind and helpful. They made me feel so comfortable it became like staying with family. They would take the time each morning to ask me what my plans were for the day and give me advice on the best way of completing them. I cannot speak highly enough of them or the house.
Amazing location, must have the best views of Brixham. Its located on the first road above the harbour, so you don't have far to walk but you're away from any noise that might disturbyou. The room was as described, big sash windows in the bedroom and bathroom, very light and airy rooms. If you need anything else there is a kitchen/ stores on the ground floor, we used the ice machine. The whole building has been beautifully restored.
We had a fabulous time at the hotel. Stayed 6 nights. Staff really pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.
Even a little mishap at the end of the holiday leaving something behind in the room, the hotel was kind enough to send on to me which I received the next day.
The views are great, fantastic walks and Brixham was just the place we needed for the break. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Will be visiting again! :-)
We stayed in a few different B&B and hotels during our visit to the west country. However, this was by far the best and our favourite. Our hosts, Hervé and Natalie, were incredible, they were very welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. Our room had an amazing view of the Harbour and was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was incredible and the best we have had.
Fantastic location for visiting Brixham amd the surrounding coves, local eating and drinking. Well places for families and adults alike. Amazing views over the Harbour. Very clean, spacious accommodation. Do not hesitate to book in to this apartment. Ate in the restaurant downstairs and dinner was delicious. The staff work so hard.
Friendly relaxed atmosphere very welcoming- great position in brixham quiet but town nearby and views towards the harbour. Spacious nicely decorated room comfortable bed. Nice to have bath as well as shower after the walk. Lounge area comfy and relaxing at end of evening with honesty bar
If you are staying in Brixham then what better than this. The location is perfect, plenty to see. The fly bridge is great place to have a morning coffee. There are other boats available to stay on in Devon, but I think this may be the best. Breakfast cafe a couple of mins walk.
Sarah and her family were so welcoming and helpful, they even lent us their ferry passes! The apartment is in the best location with sea views and a short walk into the harbour, we were really pleased when we arrived! A lovely kitchen space and everything was really comfortable!
Pure luxury. Heavenly bed, sumptuous bathroom, perfect get away.
The calm ambience of the room contrasts with the hustle and bustle of Brixham Harbour below and it is possible to immerse yourself in comfort listening to the sounds of life around.
The property was clean and tidy on arrival. It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Found the kitchen with all the essentials we needed. Same with bedding and towels. Short walk to the harbour which is ideal with 2 small children.
all staff very friendly & helpfull , bus stop at front entrance great if you want a rest from driving , really nice place with very close walking paths near by to get to beach or go for long walks , plenty of car parking
Located just in front of the harbour, parking is available, kitchen is fully equipped, plenty of space for 4/5 person. Everything looks new! Shower is nice and hot!
