Lovely old traditional cottage set in a quiet village just outside Bakewell. Cottage is obviously small but very well planned in the interior that it did not feel claustrophobic. Bedroom for such a small building was genuinely spacious. All the facilities you would expect and the hosts had left tea, coffee, biscuits etcetera which was very kind of them. Bathroom was good with a good shower and everything was VERY clean. Three good pubs all in easy walking distance.

We had a change of career a few years ago, and purchased a small number of holiday cottages in the Peak District, which we look after personally. We work in the Peak District, so are always nearby on-call should you need any help or support during your stay. Peak Holidays is a trading name for blue limes ltd a small family owned company, which has been trading since 1999.

Property info

Stanton Cottage is a stone built cottage situated at the very heart of the delightful village of Youlgrave, overlooking the historic church of All Saints. Centrally located in a beautiful part of the Peak District National Park. The cottage is full of character and includes a log burning stove for those cosy nights in! Pets are welcome – please note that this cottage does not have any outdoor space – but there are numerous short and long walks available from the door. We ask that dogs are kept downstairs, not allowed on the furniture and not left alone in the cottage.

Neighborhood info

Youlgrave (or Youlgreave as the village is often called) is a pretty village with traditional old pubs and village stores, and was once the centre of the Derbyshire lead-mining industry. Nearby Bakewell is also extremely popular with visitors and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a frequent local market.
