Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Perfect for keen road & MTB cyclists, runners, hikers, climbers. Or a base to visit local friends & family. 1 min walk to open countryside 4 mins walk to farm shop, bakery, groceries 8 min walk to local pub 3 min drive to Fox Valley shopping centre 25 min drive to Sheffield city centre Your host has local knowledge of the best routes, dining, shopping, attractions & nightlife, just ask!
I love people, travel, music, exploring, running & cycling in the hills. I built Stone Moor Lodge to share the incredible countryside around me with those curious and keen to venture this way! Expect GREAT hospitality :)
Based on the edge of Stocksbridge 1 minute from open country side. We are at quite a high point and the Yorkshire terrain is hilly so expect some challenging outdoor miles! This is why the Tour De Yorkshire race has started here twice, the ex world MTB downhill champ Steve Pete learnt his craft here, and the legendary ultra runner Nicky Spinx regulary trains here. located in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood , the lodge is on an even more quiet and safe cul de sac. local shops a few mins walk away, the small but perfectly formed Fox Valley shopping centre is a 5 min drive (15 min walk) Any more questions... just ask!
