A lovely little town.
A lovely little town. Obviously you will most likely be going for the bookshops. There are also other interesting shops, and on one of the days we visited - Thursday - a market. Lovely countryside around too

Beautiful town. A must for all book lovers. Plenty of good quality eateries, providing a range of eating options. Local people are very friendly. We have visited three times in recent years and fully intend to visit again. We would never tire of this place.

Hay is great , there is always something to do here.
Hay is great , there is always something to do here. Some lovely antique shops and vintage bizarres. Great coffee shops and restaurants. The Castle has been restored and is a beautiful gift to behold. We love walking along the river to The Warren and having a dip in the cold water. Hay is a beautiful village with many historic buildings and interesting shops. There are many options for outdoor recreation in the area. One thing to note is that most shops close at 5 PM. My favorite meal was dinner at The Old Black Lion. Every meal I had in Hay was excellent. Please note if you are using the bus to get from the train station at Hereford to check the bus schedule yourself since Google Maps pulled from the wrong table. There is a lovely walking path along the River Wye with amazing views of the river.SaraUnited States - 10Scored 10
A wonderful place to visit!
A wonderful place to visit! Quirky shops, vast array of book & antique shops and a lovely market. Coffee shops we’ve visited have all been excellent. My husband and I regularly visit for a night or two. We dine at the Blue Boar and occasionally the Indian restaurant- both superb! Lovely walks, and a ambience of calmness & fresh air entices us back all seasons. My daughter and I have also camped nearby- that’s was fabulous too!LouiseUnited Kingdom - 4.0Scored 4.0

It was an entirely unique and positive experience. The inn along with the breakfast/bar/dinner was exceptional (do not underestimate the dinners here!!). The location was in the heart of the village and was an easy walk from the bus stop.
