The location was lovely and I felt safe as a solo traveller
Sollihull has a lot to offer in things to do. The local National Institute (Baddesley Clinton) has 2 places to visit in a short driving distance with plenty of walking around the properties. There are restaurants within walking and short driving distances as well as grocery stores.

Didn't really see the place.
Didn't really see the place. We were there for an exhibition nearby. There are planty of good restuarants nearby. Just as well because the Regency Hotel restuarant was expensive and not very good.

Solihull is one of the better areas of the West Midlands and offers a pleasant stay and local amenities. Parking in central Birmingham is not easy but a local bus (Route 6) stops right outside the hotel and runs 8 times an hour weekdays, 6 on Saturday's and 4 on Sunday's. In the other direction this runs through to Solihull.
This city of Birmingham has lots to see and plenty of shops including the Bull Ring for those looking for a bit of retail therapy.

The hotel is in Knowle, on the outskirts of Solihull.
The hotel is in Knowle, on the outskirts of Solihull. Lots of great restaurants within a few minutes walk. Fantastic Artisan
Bakery for sandwiches and deli items. Very convenient to get to NEC. Good walks down the Grand Union Canal.

Charged more money than when we booked through booking.com paid for 3 rooms and all on different floors. Said we had to pay extra for breakfast and charged us £155 a family room which wasn’t a family room no child bed was made up. Room full of marks on walls and ceiling. Ask to speak to manager and no manager was working on Saturday ! Really disappointed with village hotels we expected it to be as good as the Elstree one couldn’t be so different.

Solihull is a nice place but I would advise anyone going with a party of 3, booking for 3 ADULTS and expecting 2 bedrooms should ring up and check to make sure it's for 3 adults and 2 bedrooms.
The house was beautifully decorated, with a nicely appointed large kitchen/dining area. Four of the five bedrooms were large with comfortable, king-sized beds. The fifth bedroom had a nice twin-sized bed. All the bedrooms had wall-mounted TVs with Netflix. The full bathrooms were modern and big with excellent showers. The huge backyard and private driveway were a plus. We had one minor issue which the owner, Raj, attended to personally within a few minutes, after hours on a Friday night. She even brought over dessert :)
Station approach is immaculately clean, warm and very homely. The beds were very comfortable. The host Theresa was very welcoming and attentive, and was keen to give us information and advice on where to eat, etc. The location is excellent for walking in to Solihull centre, accessing the NEC by car, and Birmingham centre by train. We were able to help ourselves to tea and coffee at any time of the day or evening, and breakfast (cereals, toast, yoghurts, juice) was perfectly fine for our needs.
Fantastic hotel, perfect location for visiting the NEC but also for exploring Solihull. The whole experience was fabulous. Staff were helpful and polite. Food was perfect and the breakfast was amazing. I so loved being able to sit outdoors to eat breakfast overlooking the water fountain. Perfect! Thank you. I have told everyone about my wonderful find and I will be back. :-)
Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room nice, bed very comfortable with nice bedding, small compact bathroom but clean and modern with nice white towels, toiletries. Nice picturesque setting and a very short taxi ride into the centre of Solihull. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was good.
The food was very good . Both our breakfast and evening meal .
The renovation is still happening to update hotel and the parts that are finished are very nice .
Free use of swimming pool and spa is added bonus .
All the staff are very welcoming and polite 😁
The homeliness of the hotel with a very nice old school feel. The staff were friendly and professional and the hotel was good value for money.
It was a very welcome break from Premier Inns which I tend to stay at when on business around the UK.
Staff and facilities were fantastic so was our room. Allowed us to check-in earlier so we could change and freshen up after our long journey. Would recommend and definitely use this hotel on our next visit to Solihull.
This hotel way exceeded my expectations having stayed in another Village hotel last year. The vibrancy of the decor, the comfort of the bed, great bar, and great staff. Excellent stay and will use this place again
The house was very clean, lots of notes/instructions around. it was a great location for Solihull and the airport, we booked as we were a group from different locations all flying out of Birmingham early.
Location perfect, just a few miles away from the M42, many food outlets just across the road.
Breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfast we've had. Partially made up for a bad nights sleep.
So much space and really comfy beds. Staying with a work colleague so 2 bathrooms was great. 20 minute walk into Solihull centre. Parking space was a bonus rather than parking on the street.
Friendly welcome - good parking - clean unfussy room with neat bathroom - warm and comfortable.
Good location ( and value for money) for NEC and surrounding area. Excellent breakfast.
Overall a very good hotel, good value for money, great staff and location is excellent for eating out. Free car parking also which is not the case at the more expensive 'Village Hotel'.
A lovely hotel with well decorated, spacious rooms and very handy for nearby attractions. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.
