Our host was very friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was newly refurbished and sparkling clean. Lots of luxury touches like candles in the bathroom. Has both bath and shower.

No '9 The Cooperage' is a former family home, 1 of 18 semi-detached houses built by CHAP 2008/2009. Set within the quiet hamlet of Auchleven, aka Premnay. The style of home 'The Kildren' is Traditional/ Modern, to reflect its rural location. Historically, the site was used for the production of whiskey barrels, 'coopering', hence the name. Sadly, none of the original factory/granite stone buildings could be incorporated, within the new development. the Village Hall now being the sole hub of the community. providing all being . Modern amenities are within easy reach at nearby Insch, Alford, Inverurie, Huntly & Aberdeen. is also in the heart of Aberdeenshire. We are fortunate to live in a rural hamlet of Auchleven, aka Premnay. The former Parish of Premnay Church is now private home. owned, however, the car park & idyllic kirk yard have b retained by Aberdeenshire Council. home. The land of The Old Cooperage residence. or The land We enjoy views to the 'Back 'o' Bennachie' & the surrounding hills The plot e s the name suggests, whiskey barrels were made/ produced in the former the and & remaining buildings site ld buildings/premises whiskey barrels were made in the previous premises. he set in the rural hamlet of Auchleven (Premnay). The latter having historical links to the former Parish of Premnay.

Great stop midway point whisky distilleries access to Cairngorm National Park Castle trail Aberdee. Oh the Northern lights of old Aberdeen sweet home sweet home for me etc Abdn beach footdee fish restaurant Silver Darling where the local catch for the north east is still recorded on a daily basis
