This is a beautiful, cosy 17th century cottage situated in an ancient Fold yard on a remote farm. The main farmhouse is 15th century and the grounds include a grass tennis court and magnificent gardens with myriad roses and an ornamental lily pond. There is seating for our guests to use and the tennis court is available. The valley is secluded and wooded, with streams and waterfalls ,offering superb hiking. Close by (within 3 miles) there are delightful pubs and a superb Michelin starred restaurant. Bromyard is the nearest small town and offers superb artisan bakery, a butchers and deli showcasing the very best of local meats and fresh produce including cheeses, chutneys, cider and pies. I am delighted to offer information for interesting excursions or make bookings for pubs and restaurants. As we are 4 miles from the town I offer our farm fresh eggs, homemade jams and marmalade , seasonal fruit from our orchards or the locality,. with cereals, milk and bread for breakfast. Love meeting new people and sharing our extraordinary and historic property. We are surrounded by ancient woodland and a variety of wild and bird life. Our valley and farm are unique and historic: quiet and remote and yet easily accessible to the Malvern Hills, the superb cathedrals of Hereford and Worcester and the magnificent mediaeval walled town of Ludlow. As a family we are great travellers and know the small touches that offer welcome and comfort.
This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with stunning countryside, idyllic streams and plenty of local cider to be enjoyed. The Malvern Hills are a 30 minute drive away, the Teme Valley is breathtaking with plenty of good walking. The Severn Valley Railway is around 45 mins drive away, with cathedrals at Worcester and Hereford. Hereford also hosts the Map a Mundi, the oldest existing map of the World, with Jerusalem at its center. The town of Ludlow, food mecca of the West Midlands is around 40 mins in the car, and it has fabulous castle and Weekend markets with local produce, arts, crafts and gourmet foods.
