Tucked away in the northern corner of Cumbria close to the Scottish Border and Gretna Green, famous for eloping couples getting married over the anvil, you will find the hamlet of Netherby, 5 miles north east of Longtown. Gretna Green is now a chic restaurant and shopping destination, designer shops can also be found at Gretna Gateway Outlet Village a mile away in Gretna. The area is perfect for guests looking for a break where they can relax and unwind yet easily reach all the tourist hot spots and attractions. The northern Lake District with Lake Ullswater, home to the Ullswater Steamers and Aira Force, is less than an hours drive, continue along the lake shore road and over Kirstone Pass to the popular towns of Ambleside and Windermere.
