A cheerful welcome from Elle at this old and atmospheric pub, who showed us our room (reasonably quiet during pub hours) iwhich was simply but adequately furnished, with a nice bathroom. Then a full English breakfast the next morning with friendly Isabella looking after everything we asked for.

I really like this place. Third visit, off the beaten, quintessential English Pub, beams n'all, really good local ales. Ideal chillax from business day. Staff V. helpful and friendly. Substantial full English to start the day. Single room bijou and functional. Good temperature. The Domino Club rendezvous held in the bar gave gave a surreal edge to the evening, serious stuff.....apparently!
