The historic medieval town of Arundel is nearby with its castle and many restaurants, galleries and antique shops. The fascinating Wetland & Wildlife Centre together with boat rides on the river Arun guarantee a great day out. Beautiful Petworth House & park and historic Chichester with its Cathedral, galleries, harbour and festival theatre are also nearby. The area is rich in vineyards and many of the wine estates offer tasting tours and have beautiful cafes & restaurants to enjoy. A short walk down the country lane opposite us you will find The Kayak Coach who offer guided kayak tours, training and canoe hire along the beautiful River Adur. It's a great way to explore the stunning nearby countryside & wildlife. For children the hugely popular Druisillas park, Washbrook & Fishers Farm provide fun filled days and in March/April we have lots of farms nearby for you to experience lambing season. We have a wonderful Pony Club affiliated Equestrian centre nearby for children to enjoy time riding, and the Saturday pony club days are always very popular. They also offer escorted hacks across the beautiful south downs for all levels of riding. The Artisan Bakehouse is a fabulous base to just relax, unwind and do nothing but if you are feeling adventurous just outside the gate is a wonderful choice of countryside, activities & culture to enjoy
