Lovely little Gem hidden away. The Mill had everything you would need. The owners left us a bottle of wine, milk and water in the fridge which was great! I would recommend this place!! X

The Mill Luxury Holiday Cottage is a one-family bedroom with a fitted wardrobe, a king-size metal bed, and a single bed. There is also a sofa bed in the Mill lounge if required. A glass roof conservatory with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, set under tiles that look like oak floorboards. Our guests can sit in one of two leather sofas and gaze at the stars at night in our lovely valley without light pollution. There are occasional tables in this room and chairs to enjoy your breakfast, looking out onto a country lane. A well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and electric oven with gas hob. You will also find cooking utensils, pans, a microwave oven, a toaster, and a kettle. The shower room comprises a wall-to-wall walk-in, shower, vanity unit, and heated towel rail.
Your hosts, Sue and Ian, have a long family history associated with The Mill, originally a farm bought in 1922 by John Morris, a farmer, and shopkeeper, as part of the sale of Coed Du Estate. Mrs. Mary Morris served teas on the lawn, kept Morris’s General Stores, and had chalets in the garden for holidaymakers in what would now be known as Glamping in the 1930s!! The farm diversified into a camping ground and a caravan park in the 1960s, now called Leete Valley Caravan Park. The Mill and Park are still owned by the Morris family, which is now our centenary year.
Nestled in the Nant Alyn Valley, The Mill can be found along a country lane near the river Alyn. which crosses the river and is made up of a hamlet of houses, a road bridge, and a footbridge. It is in a rural area that is great for a secret getaway to the country. It is in beautiful North Wales, between the villages of Rhydymwyn (1 mile) and Cilcain (2.3 miles). The Rhydymwyn village has a shop and garage. It is encircled by a Site of Logical Interest (SSSI) and is an Area of Exceptional Regular Excellence. Walks to Loggerheads Country Park, the Clwydian Mountain Range, and beyond can be taken right from your front door at the Leete Entrance, or you can simply walk up the lane to see open fields, cows, sheep, and wildlife.
