The Old Forge is a very pretty thatched detached cottage in the attractive Devon village of Ilsington. The cottage sleeps six people in two double bedrooms (one downstairs) and a twin, with two downstairs shower rooms. On the ground floor are a kitchen with dining area and sitting room with gas stove, as well as tile-floored lobby. Outside is a sunny enclosed garden with furniture and bike store. Just 150 yards from the village shop and pub, The Old Forge is a traditional Devon cottage ideal for enjoying walks, cycle rides and tours of the area. Illsington: Pretty little village (church, shop, good food pub) on Dartmoor's farmed and wooded south-eastern slopes, through which flows the River Lemon to Teignmouth, its ancient wooded valley a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and habitat for woodland birds and butterflies. Ashburton and Bovey Tracey, 5 miles. Haytor Vale is a very pretty hamlet of white cottages beside the old coaching inn, The Rock, on Dartmoor's southeastern edge just one mile from the market town of Bovey Tracey.
