Loved the staff, really warm and welcoming and very helpful and nothing was too much for them. The pool was lovely, says it was a heated pool and it isn't but it was a very sunny day so made it bearable. Breakfast was lovely and easy to choose your options, bathroom, bedroom etc was all lovely and clean. Bed was slightly hard but very spacious so didn't really affect anything.

We arrived in late afternoon on the eve of D-Day+80, and after half term was over, so it was pleasantly empty! We were working there on a video production so focussed in that, eating in an Indian restaurant in town that was superb and seeing the basic sights and waterfront after the majority of visitors had left, so, in our opinion we saw Lyme Regis at its best. If you like crowds - which we don’t - the weekends and summer holiday season will be just what you want. If you want peace and quiet the off season will be perfect for you.

I loved Lyme Regis.
Things to remember:
I loved Lyme Regis.
Things to remember:
•If you're renting a car, rent a small one.
•Don't bring large bills. Most businesses want card interactions or coins/small bills.
Great restaurants, nice shops, picturesque setting, dog loving community.
Go - be sure to not schedule every minute. Give yourself time to wander and enjoy the town!

A beautiful Dorset resort.
A beautiful Dorset resort. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Some lovely walks and great beaches.
I would recommend it to anyone.
Harbour inn for Sunday lunch, Millside restaurant for an evening meal. You need need to book in advance to prevent disappointment.
Plenty of Bars on the sea front, places to eat and drink and ice cream shops. Watch out for the always hungry seagulls.

Lyme Regis was a perfect base for exploring the Jurassic coast. The town is clean and well kept. There is a good selection of shops and a couple of small supermarkets but also independent bakers. The museum is worth a visit and the micro brewery. The staff in hotels, shops and restaurants are so friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do in and around the town which boasts an excellent beach and nice walks. It is easy to catch a bus east or west. Lyme Regis has a lovely atmosphere with families and dogs milling around happily. We were lucky to have good weather 9 days out of 10! All in all it exceeded our expectations!

People very friendly and helpful.
People very friendly and helpful. Car parking is not great and you can only stay for a max of 3 hrs, no return for 4hrs in ncp in the town. Park and ride was closed! Car parks further out if you don't mind a walk.
Found a great pub, The Ship Inn on our way from car park, had lunch and returned for dinner!

Fantastic out of season in season very expensive car parking is just about impossible
Purchase fish and chips by the COB batter on the fish dark and the chips also dark ( Old cooking Oil ) upset tummy the next day x3, not food poisoning but close
Buy three pasties in Charmouth and had to return them Pastry very hard and filling dry and hard not recommended even the seagulls turned away from them
This is a really great small hotel run by a really lovely couple. Room was a good size and comfy. Relaxation areas were nice as well. Excellent outdoor pool area too. Breakfasts and dinner were excellent. It's handily placed pretty much halfway between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, and on the South West Coast Path. You need to be fit though if you want to walk to either as the climbs back are quite steep. Perfect base for walkers (good packed lunch on request) and/or fossil hunters (they even supplied us with a hammer).
This was my second visit to the charming Mariner Hotel in Lyme Regis and there had been many positive updates since my first visit over thirty years ago. The dining/breakfast room now has glass doors looking out over the garden and we enjoyed our delicious breakfast every sitting in that bright room with it's seaside views. A few things might have made our stay even more pleasant, like soap at the bathroom sink to wash hands and washcloths, but we were delighted with our room. The staff were impeccable!
We were down in Lyme Regis for a friends wedding and this was great for us, amazing location - less than 10 min walk down to the seafront, lovely room with sea view, super comfortable bed. All the little extras really gave it a nice touch i.e. mini fridge in room with a glass bottle for water and another for milk, plates bowls and cups in the room, mini coffee setup etc. They provided a map and an information sheet with all the things we could need to know, which was very helpful.
The room was a good size with excellent facilities and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was a short drive from Lyme Regis. As a hotel, I would have expected evening meals to be available - they are but only in very limited situations which is not readily apparent on the Booking.com website - hence the lower score for facilities. As a B&B it is superb and there is a good chance we will stay again when we are next in the area.
Everything was fantastic! The staff were lovely, warm and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean, modern, comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and incredible shower. Great location too, easy to find, close to all amenities and attractions in Lyme Regis, including the beach. I cannot recommend this B&B enough.
Fantastic location. Rooms are immaculate and spotlessly clean. Our sea view room (#9) was wonderful for views. Attached pub/restaurant served lovely food. Good breakfast menu. The fruit pancakes were delicious. Right in the centre of Lyme Regis shops and a good spot for a seafront walk in either direction.
Beautiful, clean, and cozy apartment less than 10 minutes walk from the beach. Lyme Regis has been on my bucket list for a while, and this apartment was perfect for me to relax and unwind as a solo traveller for the weekend. Owners provided cute extras as well. Highly recommend.
The property and hosts exceeded our expectations. A very comfortable room for the night with great hosts that made sure all their guests were accommodated to the highest standard. We'll look forward to using this property again when we visit Lyme Regis.
The location is good for getting to places - right in the heart of Lyme Regis. Welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch which we weren’t expecting. Easy access with the key safe. Nice to have the parking space permit for free parking during our stay.
The staff at this hotel were amazing couldn’t do enough for you and make this hotel . Location a 10 min walk into Lyme Regis downhill so good location . Parking around town is about £1.50 an hour if you didn’t feel like walking back up hill .
An excellent location in the lovely sea side town of Lyme Regis, with the sea close by and the Jurassic museum behind the hotel. All of the staff encountered were polite smart and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and well made.
Good position in Lyme Regis. Very hilly so got our hearts pumping. Positive kitchen facilities. Nice not to be restricted to certain breakfast times. Facilities were clean and sufficient for our two night stay.
We fell in love, this comfortable, compact and nicely decorated renovated flat, very close to Lyme Regis beach front. Perfect location right opposite a church and minutes from all the bars & restaurants.
The breakfast was cooked to order and was fantastic! Fi and Jon went out of their way to make my stay in Lyme Regis a happy one, and I really appreciate staying with people who care.
The location in downtown Lyme Regis is great. no water view but within 2 minute walk to the water. The room we had was very large and only 1 set of stairs up. Great breakfast.
Great location, with parking ( a real bonus in Lyme Regis). Very clean. Beautifully decorated. and lovely Riverside walks. I shall miss the really pretty walk into town.
