We loved our stay in the Red Barn. Everything was very well thought of and the interiors were nice. . . it was a very comfortable and cozy space. The garden was just the right size for a runaround (for dog and child) and the hens were the icing on the cake as my son loved collecting eggs in the morning. We plan to return again soon. . . glad to have found this place.

The Red Barn is our self catering barn conversion at Venn Farm. It sleeps 4 + cot. The barn has a sun-flooded open-plan reception room, kitchen, and diner. The kitchen is equipped with all mod cons including a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine/tumble dryer. There is a highchair to go with the four-seater dining table, as well as two sofas and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. There is also an iPod dock, Wi-Fi, and a wide selection of DVDs and games for both parents and kids. Downstairs there are two pretty bedrooms – one twin, one double. Both bedrooms have Egyptian cotton bedding and ample storage. The large bathroom has a bath, shower, and a heated towel rail. Throughout the property there is under floor heating and should you need it there is a also a wood-burning stove. Externally, the red Barn has its own private deck overlooking a very large garden and tree-lined fields. There are also wooded areas with dens for children, and friendly hens to chase. Guests are invited to collect their own fresh eggs in the morning.
We are a pair of down-from-London good-lifers, and combine fashion industry careers with raising a family and running their 7-acre smallholding. We moved to live a quieter life by the sea. We have loved converting 3 properties to rent for holidays and have won numerous awards. Our kids have fully embraced the surf lifestyle.
Venn Farm is a beautiful and tranquil seven-acre small holding just four miles from Bude and the stunning north Cornwall beaches. It is nestled between two nature reserves and has an abundance of wildlife including roe deer, buzzards, woodpeckers and barn owls. Bude is a town with some of the country’s best beaches, including Northcott Mouth, Summerleaze, Duckpool and Sandymouth. The beaches are perfect for rock pooling and surfing, and the coastal path is particularly stunning for walkers. 1. Swim, paddle or float in the natural sea pool at Summerleaze in Bude. Heavenly. 2. Brunch, Lunch or an Evening Feast at our new eatery TEMPLE. Seriously good food and pretty special organic wine. Cocktails too. Open 10am - 3pm Tuesday to Sunday, from 6pm evenings from March 3. Go crabbing or rock pooling at Northcott Mouth Beach (and follow that with an artery busting cream tea at Margaret’s famous Rustic Tea Garden). 4. Spend some time at the stunning Sandymouth beach, one of our favourites. 5. Hit the waves. Book a surf lesson with The Big Blue Surf School at Summerleaze Beach or try a body board
