The Round House, West Anstey (Devon) is a south-facing former threshing barn, beautifully positioned for the almost circular living room to enjoy views across the gardens and surrounding countryside. It's a detached stone cottage, located in on smallholding on the Southern edge of Exmoor, just outside the boundary of the national park but within easy reach. It's a delightful rural retreat, well-suited to families looking for a 'get away from it all' break, as well as walkers and cyclists. The property can accommodate up to 8, but we recommend is most suitable for a group of 6 if all adults, due to to the two sets of bunk beds in the ground floor bedroom. West Anstey sits on the Southern side of Exmoor, just outside the boundary of the National Park in North Devon. The popular tourist destination of Dulverton is approx 5 miles away. Known as the southern gateway to Exmoor, Dulverton is also home to the head quarters of the Exmoor National Park. The town is well equipped with shops including Post Office, butchers, bakery, fish & chip shop, greengrocer, late-opening supermarket, art gallery, hairdressers, guns and fishing tackle shop. There are also a number of quality boutiques, interesting gift shops plus some lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. The picturesque river Barle winds through the centre of the town and is a popular location for keen kayakers. South Molton is around 10 miles away and is an interesting and lively country town, with a good selection of shops and pubs.
