nice quirky pub hotel, it’s in the centre of the village and close to the new forest , ideal for hikers and bikers. The staff were really friendly with us and each other creating a great atmosphere, it’s dog friendly but our room and all of the bar and restaurant areas were spotlessly clean. the bed was very comfortable and had the usual tea and coffee facilities and a clean modern shower room. The breakfast was good , and cooked to order and the pub food was great too. I would highly recommend staying in the hotel as a base to explore the area and the free parking was also a bonus.

Fantastic location, right in the centre of Lyndhurst. The room (and pub in general) looked as though its recently undergone refurbishment, with new carpets and the rooms bathroom looking brand new. Nice quiet room (a little traffic noise, but it didn't keep us up), comfy beds, really good breakfast and all for a great price. Walking distance to lots of nice pubs and its dog friendly too, so we brought our two small dogs who were more than welcomed.
