A brilliant guest house bordering the city center. Value for money for an unattended guest house. Basically, just what I needed for the purpose of my trip. I was sent details for the passcode to obtain the keys at the entry door upon arrival which went smoothly. Sometimes, people want to write negativity, but for me......, the room (4), was clean throughout. No fault. Yes, there was traffic noise due to the location, however I would assume the price reflects the same. Anyway a self service guest house at an affordable price. Room 4 had it's own bathroom which was modern and clean. Thank you owners in the background.

The Tennyson is a self-serviced Guest House, this means that no hostess is present on the property during your stay. We are, however, available 24/7 by telephone and can attend the premises quickly at any time required. We will be more than happy to help. Breakfast is located in the dining room. Please help yourself to a continental style breakfast. You can find a kitchen user guide on the worktop if you need any help. The Tennyson is located in Lincoln, a magnificent city in the East Midlands of England with much to offer all visitors. There is so much to see and do in both picturesque and historical surroundings. You can visit Lincoln castle which was built by the Normans, the famous prison that was erected during the Victorian era and, of course, our magnificent Cathedral! Come and visit Castle Square, which is lined with beautiful medieval houses and outstanding architectural buildings. Finish by eating at one of the many fantastic eateries and drinking establishments in the area.

This hotel is located in the St Catherine's area of Lincoln, across from Lincoln's South Common which is known for its walk paths, that lead up to the Lincolnshire Bomber Command memorial. This area has excellent cycle path routes both through the city itself but also out to nearby Washingborough. A short walk down the high street, where you can also find many shops and bars, both of which are open late, you soon arrive in the heart of Lincoln, with all supermarket express shops, the historic Cornhill Quarter, the Brayford Wharf, Lincoln University Campus. From here you can walk through Lincoln's Steep Hill, pass the famous Jew's House and into the Bailgate where you shall find beautiful shops but of course, Lincoln Castle and test your imp knowledge at Lincoln Cathedral. Our property is situated in a prime location, so if you are visiting to rest from a long bike ride, or here to explore the history of this great city, we can provide you with a safe and comfortable stay.
