Set on a rural country estate, The Vean is in the heart of Cornwall. In the village of Caerhays, this luxury Georgian country house offers the perfect secluded self-catering getaway. Each bedroom includes an private bathroom, has bathrobes, a hairdryer, and complimentary shampoo/bodywash. All rooms have a TV and radio, and some rooms feature garden views and a dressing room. The ground floor has a large dining room with a table that seat 16. You can laze the day away in our living room or TV/Cozy room. The Vean has a well-equipped kitchen for any budding cooks. There are also numerous pubs and restaurants a short drive away. The Vean can also recommend some local private Chef’s who can be booked if you require a special meal or two. With a garden and terrace, The Vean is just 25 minutes’ walk (5-minute drive) from Caerhays Castle, which overlooks the secluded Porthluney Beach. Guests can enjoy coastal walks along the Southwest Coastal Path, which runs alongside the large estate

Property info

The Vean is a beautiful restored Georgian country house nestled in the wooded Porthluney valley. A tranquil setting with views over Caerhays Castle Gardens. This idyllic rural location is less than a mile from the beaches of Porthluney and Portholland in Cornwall. The house has 8 luxurious en-suite double bedrooms, sleeping 16 and with a stunning dining room. The Vean makes the perfect exclusive self-catering retreat for that special getaway throughout the year.

Neighborhood info

There is a village church close to the Vean, the beach of Porthlunley is about a mile from us, there is a beach cafe, toilets, and large car park (guests of the Vean receive free parking) which is all part of the Caerhays estate. Its a very quite rural area with a small amount of holiday traffic (in the summer only) there are pubs and restaurants around the local area in Mevagissey or on the Roseland, which we have in house details on the ones closest to us, but you do need to drive to them. The closest Town is St Austell which is around 15 minutes away.
