The Willoughby is now owned by Ahimsa Dairy Foundation, a not-for-profit company producing slaughter free milk and dairy, gains grown and milled using ox power, organically grown veggies and utilising green energy sources such as biodigesters and solar. Speak to us about ox cart rides and cow cuddling experiences!

The Willoughby is a 150 year old, beamed, traditional stone built, country inn. Previously operating as a pub, new owners have now acquired the property to offer accomodation with meals cooked from food ethically sourced on the doorstep.

Neighborhood info

Local interests include the Georgian town of Stamford, with over 600 listed buildings and the historic Burghley House, one of the finest Elizabethan houses in England, used as the back drop for Pride and Prejudice, The Da Vinci Code and Middlemarch. Belton House, used as the setting for Jane Eyre and the imposing Grimsthorpe Castle with its 800 year's history also have much to offer our visitors. Easton Walled Gardens are another local delight to explore. Just over the county border lies Rutland Water, the largest man-made lake in the Uk. Now an important wildlife reserve and birds watching centre, it has a wide range of water sports and 25 miles of scenic pathways and cycleways.
