Expectation was to find a retreat for 2 adults and 3 kids (13,13,10) as central basis for day trips around Snowdonia. What we found was a beautiful appartment/house in the countryside with a spectacular view, silent, clean, and prepared with an eye for detail and support for a family arriving after a lot trip. The host, Cerys, answered all our (stupid) questions within minutes - what more can you expect? Grocery shopping and lovely cafes/take aways are 10min away in Llanrwst (special recommendation: The Old Tannery / Yr Hen Danerdy https://maps.app.goo.gl/UQMU6qP64o4hM9RC7?g_st=ic). Exploring Snowdonia is easily done - we were driving max 45min - mostly much less- to any attraction we wanted to experience. Whoever is following us to the Summer Cottage: Enjoy the Welsh hospitality and experience natures beauty at its best.
