We booked this accommodation as we were walking part of The Thames path so we also needed dinner, sadly found out on arrival that the kitchen was closed on Mondays! A note stating this when booking would have been helpful. Rooms a little tired with dated furniture. The owners were very friendly the cooked breakfast was good but there was no fruit/etc cereal laid out.

Fantastic value for money. Having had an evening meal, spent the night and had breakfast in the morning, I’m gobsmacked at how cost effective our stay was. The food, rooms, service certainly warrant a higher rate than which we paid. Very impressed.
With free Wi-Fi in all areas and free parking on site, this family-run hotel sits in almost 2 acres of grounds and has pretty views over the Berkshire countryside.

Interesting place, will go back.
Interesting place, will go back. Got to swim in the Thames, see the churches, go to Whitchurch, walk along the Thames. Visit Goring. It's a fantastic place for a couple of nights. There is a canoe club and also it's a good place to cycle in.

Pangbourne is surrounded by loverly woods and the River Thames runs close by. The traffic during the day is very heavy and makes walking around the town unpleasant. Oddly there are no pubs on the river. There are som nice walks by the river.

Pangbourne’s become seedy looking, with very few real shops left. All the pubs were either closed to non residents, or closed around 9.00 pm ish; all, except The Swan, we’re closed all Sunday evening! The high street is very noisy and stinks of fumes.

It’s only small village which is gorgeous and full of character. There’s only a few places to book to stay overnight. The George was dirty and badly needs some tlc! Didn’t use the romantic bath for 2 in the honeymoon suite because of the mould around the bath. So wasn’t the special romantic stay we hoped for atal

Cleanliness and individuality of hotel decor coupled with keen price meant for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is well situated in the village. Also reassuring was that there seemed good regard to social distancing and other covid related precautions by all staff.
the rooms look like something you’d rent by the hour. the shower has a dribble of cold water and the receptionist had great please and a laugh knowing we would be next to the train track. absolutely worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in!!!!!! I live in hotels Monday- Friday for work and have done for over 10 years…..this was the worst!!!!
the room could do with an uplift especially the bathroom. The shower had a very weak flow but there was a bath which could have been used instead. Parking onsite was an issue but overcome in a nearby car park. Would recommend the Italian restaurant, food was superb. We would use hotel again
Lovely friendly and a super breakfast. The hotel is in a great location in a lovely village and is a great quirky old building. it has a nice pub attached to the front of the hotel where we had a nice couple of beers.
the staff were lovely and we really enjoyed the breakfast (lovely decor in there)- fantastic location for Pangbourne and the event we were attending. Our room was lovely and quiet.
