Beer was good. Evening meal food was a disappointment though breakfast omlette was good.

Staff are fantastic. Coped with our late returns and couldn't do enough to help and ensure we were fed and watered. Very busy in the main pub on bank holiday weekend, but great and welcoming atmosphere. Beds were comfy. bathroom very small, but adequate.
The Wheatsheaf Hotel is set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The restaurant serves dishes made using local recipes and produce, and the bar serves real ales.

We had a very nice stay. The hospitality was very nice. As bikepackers we want a good shower, good food, a good bed and a safe place for our bikes. They had all of it.

The hotel was comfortable and homely & within easy walking distance of The Falls, the reason we chose it.
The staff, particularly the afternoon/ evening ones, were very friendly and helpful. We were able to book our preferred seats for our evening meal.
Lots of choices on the evening menu, all very generous portions. We would have liked more simple options for breakfast, fruit, creamy, not pouring, yoghurt

Our visit was really spoilt by the weather.
Our visit was really spoilt by the weather. Howling gales and driving rain. This was at the beginning of October. In better weather this would be a great place to stay. Very close to the falls and a short drive to Bolton Castle, which is certainly worth a visit. They have wild boar there as well.

Aysgarth Falls hotel was a good choice for our northern dales trip. Be warned that if you want to see the famous Aysgarth Falls then it is a steep walk down the road from the hotel. Might be better for the less mobile to drive to the Dales National Park centre and walk from there.

Absolutely fantastic.!
Absolutely fantastic.! Will be going back to stop at this property, and have already recommended it to family and friends, only got back this evening.! Hosts were lovely, clean modern property, everything you could need for a relaxing stay. And what views.! Everything was just perfect.! Thank you Heather & Steve, we will be back to see you again soon, and stay at your lovely property.
Graeme & Leeanne.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and of a very high standard, lots of extra little touches such as homemade brownies, torches supplied for the short walk to the local pub/restaurant, comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast options, and both Claire and Matt were very welcoming and friendly hosts, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Aysgarth is a beautiful and tranquil little village, with great walks taking in the Aysgarth Falls. We look forward to visiting again in the future!
Beautiful building, spacious and a great layout. Really well equipped kitchen, lots of utensils that made cooking great. Nice quiet village location. The rear garden is enclosed and great for dogs as well as being a fantastic sun trap to enjoy a glass of wine in at the end of a hard day's walking! We thought it was great value for money and we'd highly recommend it, I don't think the pictures do the property justice!
A beautiful stay from start to finish. Our host Claire was extremely welcoming, friendly and could not have been any more helpful. The property was immaculately presented, stylish and modern. The breakfast was delicious and Claire’s recommendation for evening meal food was excellent. Location was excellent beautiful walks in every direction and 10 mins walk to Aysgarth Falls. 😊
The Cottage was very comfortable and a great location. You literally couldn't get closer to Aysgarth Falls. There's a lovely hotel up the road for meals and drinks, very friendly staff and beautiful gardens.
The Cottage was very well furnished with all the mod cons you could want. There are plenty of walks around the local area and lots of beautiful villages to explore.
The owners were really informative before our stay and gave detailed instructions on how to find the place and where to go for food and drink. The views were breathtaking and the flat was so clean and tidy and modern. You're only a few minutes walk from Aysgarth Falls and you can go into Aysgarth and have a drink too. We would absolutely stay again.
We were warmly welcomed and Jason could not have been more helpful or friendly. He even rang round local pubs in the area to book us in for an evening meal. The village is so picturesque and an ideal location for walking Aysgarth Falls and Castle Bolton. Our room was comfortable and looked out onto the village. The breakfast was amazing too!
Thus was a favorite place to stay in the Yorkshire dales!!! we especially liked that the restaurant was open later than others with the BEST food we had on our trip!!! breakfast was included and was exceptional. The staff was especially gracious and helpful with any needs we had . Rooms had been refurbished and were clean and comfortable.
The location was perfect, within walking distance of Aysgarth Falls. Amazing views from the room. We had a very warm welcome and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Freshly cooked breakfast was amazing! Perfect Jubilee weekend to be treated like Royalty. Thank you so much.
the property is a 10 minute walk from the water falls, lovely quiet village.
The food was delicious with a big choice and the staff had great wine knowledge to advise.
breakfast was all local sourced and so tasty.
The rooms are so spacious and clean.
from the lovely warm welcome from Sarah - i couldnt have wished for a more perfect stay. Location is just idyllic, a short walk to Aysgarth Falls and what a breakfast, it makes my mouth water even now ! A Perfect place, quiet and sooo picturesque !
Great one night stopover in Aysgarth. About 1/2 a mile from the river/falls. A brisk 3 mile stroll over to the castle and some good scenery. Bit damp (early Septemeber) but great views from the hillside.
A brand new, beautiful little cabin with a hillside view. A great place to stay if you want to visit Yorkshire Dales National park.
I really enjoyed it here!
This site is ideal for people who have dogs. Great walks and local pubs about mile and a half away. Aysgarth falls about the same and are accessible by car.
